Zentangle Inspired Art. Staedtler Triplus Fineliner on Strathmore Artist Tile 6" x 6" colored with Prismacolor colored pencils

This was my 2nd pc. with these color change markers, so I had a bit more control .... these were just alot of fun to play with .... so out of my comfort zone when it comes to my tools & style but it was a personal challenge & I will keep playing with them ( ocassionally ) until I really get the hang of them & do something I'm happy with .... If you like bright colors you will like these! :)

Missed the deadline for 'Tackle it Tuesdays' with Cheryl Rotnem from cherylsartfulcreations.blogspot.com.au/ - here is my tangled ZIA. Tangles: Drupe, Dugwud, Dust Bunny, Drip Drop, Diamond Drops, Dragonaire, Dyzee, Diagonals, Droplets, Dickies, Diva Dance,Dayzee.

Final result.

How about this for a change of color? ... Did this on the back of a piece of cardboard that came out of a shirt I just bought ... you know those smooth white ones ... only thing is I turned it over & used the pale grey side, which I thought would mute the color down a bit ... nope did'nt happen! I really liked the richness of this color ... I think it's about 8x8 :)

I still think it is awesome to see the result of a negative ... this is just that , nothing special done or added ... I also like the fact that it is always a surprize to see what it looks like ... I keep telling myself that I'm going to make a color chart of what the colors change to from the original to the negative so I could control what is happening, but I think I like the suprize part of it too much for that! :)

I was really suprized & shocked at how the negatives turned out ... I tinted this one Blue green ...

This is my second time doing one of the dares organised by Erin over at www.thebrightowl.com

I wanted to do all linework, so here it is! thanks for looking :)

This is the negative of " Autumn Framed " ... I almost think I like it better than the original. :) ...... Hope every one will have a happy, healthy, & safe week end! :)

trying some new patterns

The last one, I promise! ... Don't know why I kept seeing faces & hats with the strings that honey drew for me for this challenge, but I did! ... So this one's a bit out there, but I swear there are pics of my sweet ( departed ) Mother in law with friends at thier lunchens that were ALL wearing some of the wildest hats you've ever seen! So this is a tribute to her & the ladie's that lunched back in the 50's! :) ... just done with Faber Castell soft lead black pencil :)

This is just the Negative of " Arizona ", ... never know what you'll get, but I thought the colors were pretty enough to share. :)

Shades of pink have always been some of my favorites too, tinted negative from the original black & white.:)

just a couple of simple flowers I drew quickly last night, so today I gave them the gel pen treatment :)

Drawn on 9 x 12 paper with Pigma Micron and Faber Castell Pitt artist pens and shaded with pencil. The scan did not pick up on the shading very well.

Botanic.

still in tangle mode...

8 & 1/2 x 11 ... 0.1mm Helix pen , pencil shading ... this is the original B&W ... but you know me , had to play in my photo program ... did 4 different versions/ colors ... did'nt want to post them all , but if you would like to see it in brown negative or in blue ( has the look of vintage blue & white china ) it's in my photo stream ... :) .... WOULD LIKE TO SEND OUT A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL COMMENTS ON THIS PIECE ... I'VE GOT A LOT GOING ON HERE NOW AND AS MUCH AS I'D LIKE TO SEND EACH ONE OF YOU A REPLY, I JUST CAN'T ... SO HOPE YOU WON'T THINK I'M TERRIBLE FOR POSTING MY THANK YOU'S TO YOU ALL THIS WAY! ;)

Since the art studio was where Sleepy Cat was born, he tends to spend a lot of happy time there. Here he is, enjoying the plants we have recently had to move in from outside! And through it all, all he did was sleep!

Rotring rapidograph + copic

8 1/2 X 11 black card stock , I used some cheap Metallic markers that I had forgotten all about & Colored gold shadow jelly roll pens ... took about 2 hrs. start to finish & that's counting the two times I dozed off with pen & hand, & then had unplanned marks on my paper that I had to work into the design ... I should know better at my age not to eat dinner & then tangle! :)

Accomplished for the "Inspire, Inspire" art journal prompt, "By My Hands".
