Another shot from a recent visit to the paisley anchor mill at the hamills

The Anchor Mill stands as a proud reminder of Paisley's great industrial heritage. Located at the Hammills on the White Cart River, this landmark Grade A listed Domestic Finishing Mill was built in 1886 and is one of the few remaining buildings of the Anchor Mill complex.
At the centre of the building is the elegant, 4 storied, sun-lit Atrium.
The crowds leave and mother nature's lights come on, which has to be one of the most amazing experiences to witness.
For this I reactivated my good old and battered 50D again. Definitely need a bigger Tele lens for my full frame camera
So of course, I don’t have a willing model. GP hates me taking his photo - it’s a throwback to when his dad would line up the four kids to practice his portrait photography I am sure. Our little dog of course has now long gone to the rainbow bridge (still sad face) and, he too, hated me taking his photo.
The Lensbaby is a manual focus system so this was a hit and miss for me with the sweet 35 in the composer pro at f2.5 and natural light in the kitchen from the window. Arms stretched out I took the shot.
I don’t mind it so much. I see my dad looking back at me in this and that makes it easier for me to look at and like LOL.
I really need a haircut and I need to practice this more with the Lensbaby system especially in taking self portraits. I tried reading how people take self portraits with the system but have not figured it out. I am not giving up.
.. when I came upon these two vultures, they were watching two (full size) plastic swans which had tiny motors allowing them to cruise around the pond. The vultures seemed totally confused.. not knowing if those things would be a nice meal, or not. The pond had alligators which made real swans out of the question!

When I Was A Tourist In Thailand, I Took A Bus Trip And Was Seated Next To The Most Gorgeous Girl I'd Ever Laid Eyes On. Perfect Boobs Almost Spilling Out Of Her Top, Perfect Legs, With A Gorgeous Face. The Bus Had Small Seats And She Was Pushed Right Up Next To Me. A battleship gray KCS GP38-2 is being by "Run 1", the lead job working the west end of CPKC's Knoche Yard. They're beginning to pull across Olive St on the North Main for head room after pausing short of the crossing to let a coal train arrive in the yard.
The classic concrete "KC 2" milepost still stand here at Olive St as well as the radio channel sign, which was hastily "corrected" several years ago when most road trains and transfers were moved to 64-64 to avoid walking over yard jobs switching. "Run 1" still usese 63-63 for their work.
The KCS No. 1921 was originally built for the TP&W, later becoming a part of the Santa Fe before being sold to the KCS. 1/22/26.

You go with it and enhance that gloom even Moore, A trip up to Halnaker windmill on a misty day when the all surrounding views are shrouded in gloom, you just make the most of what you have to work with, in this case I thought a mono conversion would be the way.
The darker semi circle on the left is where the grass has been worn down by people as they wander around so I enhanced that by a dodging and burning layer.

When I first learned to ride a bicycle, I would ride past this building in an alley behind our home. It was only one-half a block away, but it seemed like a huge distance for a little boy and the building always left me with a creepy feeling. Even though many decades have passed since I rode past this building on my bicycle, when I saw it again the other day, it still gave me the creeps.

One rent - more then 112 scenes to switch
When we stayed in Norfolk for a week a couple of years ago, we rented a cottage near the centre of the delightful village of Burnham Market. This has got to be one of the prettiest (and most expensive!) places to live in Norfolk. Fortunately, we were staying out of season, and got a reduced rate.
Snaps out our car window as we drove out of Las Vegas on Friday morning to get to LAX. Never would I have ever thought Vegas would close in my lifetime.
When visiting Mono Lake in the Spring, layered clothing is the only way to go. I was having lunch at a local diner where patrons were dressed in everything from flip flops and shorts to parkas and boots, depending on what the weather was when they left their hotels that morning... and whether or not they came prepared. I soon discovered weather forecasts were near useless. A predicted snowfall could dump its load 10 miles away leaving you comfortable in a tank top, or it could catch you shivering in your sandals.
FYI - map insists on saying this photo was taken from Lee Vining Airport. It wasn't. It was taken from a gravel road close to the shores of Mono Lake looking east.

When traveling through Bedford Pa, we stopped at this site to view the covered bridge, and were hoping to tour Old Bedford Village. Of course, the village is closed on Wednesdays (the day we were there), so I had to be content with a few pics in the rain. In the 2nd photo, it shows the Burr trusses used in the construction of the bridge.
when ever I look at this image it makes me happy, that's why the name.

This big male Sandhill Crane wasn't actually attacking me for taking its picture, but it was after a crane that was walking beside me for protection from attacking Red-wing Blackbirds. But apparently it was enough of an intrusion into his space that he took off toward us to get us farther away from his territory. The wings are immense, and we were brushed by the wind as it flew only inches away.
