When I first spotted this beetle, it was perched as in the shot in comments, but when I approached with my lens, he turned around and just sat there! Makes a change to have a poser!!

Chrysolina herbacea I think!

Well, here is the new luxurious high rise condo for Monnie,

our Monarch caterpillar who is growing daily in quite a process!

We may be in for one more upgrade, but for now,

hopefully this will be perfect for photographing the transformation!

Happy Window Wednesday, as we peek into the wonderful world of one of nature's miracles!

Oh, by the way, this was a serendipitous purchase at Michael's Crafts where, ironically I was looking for a *netted* structure. At 70% off, I couldn't resist paying only $12, as we can always use it for it's real purpose . . . a lantern, of course! Right now there is a piece of cardboard inside the top, with the bamboo post resting and waiting for a possible chrysalis! It's all an experiment for me!

Another shot from my walk from home, I took a chance on a walk just to see what the sky was doing, and it did some nice colour worth shooting, so glad I went for a little wander down a track.

We went out yesterday for dinner on our wedding anniversary to Bosham and stopped along the way for a walk at Arundel where we got a soaking and I shot a rainbow, then later some shots at a windy Bosham harbour.

When your man is so undeniably handsome.. 😍

When I saw this last Sunday I was shook. A new competitor and a beautiful looking machine. Whilst in York to meet a friend for lunch and drinks, I stopped here around the time on the map.

Well done York Pullman, a cracking job.

Look out for more photos as I travel again!

another shot from our walk some days ago. The light at this day was really good, but it was very cold (minus 11°C). For this composition I used more dynamic for the colors. What do you think about?

Thank you all for your comments and faves!

Yesterday at Elk Island NP..

When you run so fast that you forget who you think was chasing you. That's a good day.

When you listen to my words

I see them sinking in

Oh I see them crawling underneath your skin

The only remaining Pennsylvania Railroad DD1 on the planet was safely displayed indoors at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in 2006.

Shortly thereafter, some genius decided it would look better sitting outside in the back yard. It has been slowly rotting away ever since.

I do not understand the management at this place; the original GG1 4800 has been rotting away outside in solid black when it was once fully restored in PRR colors. Plus that horrid incorrect font on the otherwise nice Conrail GP30, the M1, L1, K4, etc. also rotting away in the elements for decades.

When visiting the amazing Aros art gallery recently in the centre of Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city, I was transfixed by a resident artist creating an impressive new art work in the moment. I was not the only one captivated by this. I think the couple in the 'front row' had been there for a while also enjoying the experience. I noticed they both wore glasses. I was waiting for the split second where you could follow both their sight with the direction of their glasses firmly at the artist. And it happened. A special moment.

There's a corner of Brussels where all styles, all times and all people rub shoulders. As I strolled through the Marolles district, eager to test my new lens, a Sigma ART f1.4 50mm, this second-hand shop window caught my eye. In the store, time is suspended, ethereal, old and bygone, but not that old... it inspired this shot.

Arrival of the fishing boats in the first days of the fishing season caused quite a crowd on the beach at Aragum Bay Sri Lanka.

When I went to Shawnee for a weekend of wine & photography with some friends, all I expected was to have a good time & to come back with some good photos & a fun experience. I did not expect to later be asked to help teach a photo workshop in Shawnee in Fall 2016.. but that's exactly what happened & I am super excited & still in shock... Yay to opportunities!! :)
