...go crazy! Such bad light, rain, almost dusk, shot through branches and impossible to retrieve in any sensible way. But I liked the effect of the trees surrounding her so what the heck! A bit of artistic licence 😁
The sun is slowly returning to our part of the world here in the midwest, making it possible to slip in a photo or two on my way home from work. Snow-covered M-89 highway heading into Allegan, Michigan, was quite busy; waiting for traffic to clear took just long enough to make my fingers thoroughly chilled.... Brrrr
“When photographing women, we have three paths: photograph them with the "male gaze” ; photograph them as "photographer eyes” and photograph them as "poet feeling”. I always try to be the three ...” by Old Roger
...you simply let it in. Last of summer days; my eyes are welling up. I realized that i don't really like winters. I want a longer summer. But then i whine about it every day, don't i?
This book, Crow in the House, Wolf at the Door, came recommended by Sandy. I'm still reading it. I've liked it so far.
When leaving the restaurant after dinner this evening, the lighting was so pleasing that I had to take a photo. It also gave me a chance to try out the camera on the phone I picked up last week.
We've not long returned from our first big family holiday in Singapore. One of the highlights was the ArtScience Museum. Alas, this image is just a phone photo. A simply amazing space.
Time away with the family - totally heart warming.
100x: Things that warm the heart
When you're under the birdfeeder, things tend to get messy with all those seed hulls falling to the ground.
And when you're a small squirrel, all that mess makes it very difficult to spot your next bite. So sometimes you have to work extra hard by sitting up and looking around to see what you can see!
And then you realize - maybe it's time to check out one of the Goodie Bowls. It's not as messy over there!
When I made this photo (27th april 2015) I was in England, at Sissinghurst Castle garden. Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson fell in love with Sissinghurst Castle and created a world-renowned garden. It was a delight to visit this wonderful garden!

Shuttle Enterprise OV-101 built by Rockwell International for NASA as part of the Space Shuttle program to perform atmospheric test flights being launched from a modified Boeing 747. It was constructed without engines or a functional heat shield. As a result, it was not capable of spaceflight.
Still Waters
"He leads me beside the still waters." Psalm 23:2
"He leads me beside peaceful streams." Psalm 23:2
When my heart is likely to break,
When the surging billows shake
My feeble bark,
Lead me to the Rock most high
The Rock that higher is than I ;
even in the dark.
When I see my sin so great,
When no comfort I can get,
No place to hide,
Lead me to the Rock most high
The Rock that higher is than I;
The smitten side.
When no refuge I can find,
No shelter for the weary mind,
No cooling shade,
Lead me to the Rock most high
The Rock that higher is than I;
No more afraid.
When thirsting for the living stream
Of that eternal life in Him,
No more to die,
Lead me to the Rock most high
The Rock that higher is than I;
To Him I fly.
In the cleft of that dear Rock,
From the surging billows' shock,
I'll hide me ever.
In His righteousness so pure,
In His covenant so sure,
I'll dwell forever.
