when she walks in the morning

the dew already settled

the sun breaking over the mountains

the morning fog settled in the valley...

just at that moment

a ray of sunshine hits her face

illuminating her

transforming her into

the angel he has come to know

When the time comes, and i hope to be standing there, trying to capture it,, sometimes, we get the shot,, if, not,, do we need that reason to comeback

When in Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is a welcome retreat.

Just seemed like an appropriate pic to do in light of this afternoons tier 4 restriction announcement.

When you get out of your car at a rest area you're not usually thinking of the view, but at this one stop I'm really glad I did stop to look up!

When these clouds moved in to position, I did as well. They add a certain extra to the image that helps complete it. This rail line has been shot by all of my cameras over the years, and this one is a little more complete than the rest with the addition of the clouds. They fill that distant draw in the hills that is in need of a finishing element.

When is a lighthouse not a lighthouse?

When I have pictures on display I don't like sticking around while people look at them so I go for walks and take more pictures. I took a few laps around the neighborhood.

WWT Slimbridge.

Two young moorhens happened to run across my path when walking through the wetlands centre at Slimbridge. They were busy doing their own thing and therefore came very close to us before they even noticed my friend Steve and myself. Managed to grab a few quick shots. I really like this one, hope you do too!

My thanks to anyone who clicks or comments on this photo. It is much appreciated.

I’m still getting the hang of the new R6. I couldn’t imagine taking night photos as clean as this with the old EOS T7 Rebel.

When is a dragon, not a dragon?

Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada.

Back to stitching a few shifts of the 24mm T/S-E. I'm liking the square format again, and, of course, the higher rez.

When I grow up, I want to be a hero. Not one who wears a cape, or can fly. One who saves the lives of strangers everyday. Their only super powers are knowledge, and a compassionate spirit. Armed with mere mortals tools, they achieve the impossible.

Thank you to all the doctors and nurses working tirelessly to keep us safe.

When things align, they make for an interesting photo. I noticed this pair of parallel tree trunks while roaming around the valley floor and tried to get the upper Yosemiiite falls through the narrow gap between them. To my surprise, this little fellow decided to photobomb my photo and I knew at that moment this will make an interesting one.

Hope you guys like this scene as much as I did shooting.

When close is not good. As photographers we always like to get our subjects close. In this case it would have been nice if I had a zoom-lens but I don't. However it was a one second encounter which enabled me just two shots. So, if I had a zoom-lens it would probably have been a bust. At least my focus was dead"ON" !

Lois Hole prov.park. St.Albert, AB.

Since I only got half of the body, I vignetted the image to make it nicer to look at.

Taken through the window of my bedroom on 4th August 2022 around 22.50 (10.50pm) Finnish time.

Sometimes when you like snow but don't live in an area that typically gets much, you have to go Looking for it! On Sunday Anita and I headed west and a bit north and eventually we did find the snow. We were in the mountains of West Virginia by this time. And then after a mile or two this beautiful, magical back road turned scary as we got farther along it and the tracks got covered in snow and the road climbed and then plunged straight down and there was No Place to turn around and guess what? Even 4 wheel drive will slip and slide on icy stuff! But Anita saved the day by backing up about a quarter of a mile up and down hill and around curves to the last turn around area we found. And happily for me just this one time, the steep drop off was on Her side!! So I just kept clicking away! It was yet another grand adventure for sure! :)

When Venus shines in the night sky, she eclipses all other lights with her incomparable beauty

A walk on Gress Beach, bathed in moonlight, with Venus setting in the west, the sound of the waves crashing on the reef out in the bay, the song of the grey seals, the cry of a lone seabird flying home to roost - a perfect way to end the day, and a cosy bed with some hot chocolate waiting at Mill View.

When a pair is always a win. For several weeks in late summer, NYS&W's SD45s were the star attraction on the Northern Division. Several occasions would have the 3618 and the 3634 together on the Cortland jobs. Here the 18 leads the 34 and two more south at Preble, NY.

when I am working the bar I have to merchandise dont I. Winks, and that for me is displaying the goods on sale....lol

Greeting... your dreams can reach the highest peaks light

When I took the photo I didn't notice the shamrock leaves nearby. Could be a regular Irish Fairyland. I should have looked more carefully. Who knows what could have been in the area.

When things are hopping at the feeders, an occasional raptor, such as this Cooper's Hawk, will fly into the backyard to consider its chances.
