San Francisco Fleet Week 2016 finished with a bang on Sunday, with another spectacular airshow, featuring (among others) the Bretling Jet Team, The Patriots, and the Blue Angels, who were competing to see who could get the most "wow" moments with the crowd!

Self-portrait. Tried to raise the bar for myself so I let my alter ego step in. I perform and have a great time at it. It was fun to create the perception of intensity in my attic, complete with water misted onto my face to simulate the heat of a real show.

I am not at all where I thought I would be a year ago but I am still working with my camera in my hands and it has taken me in a completely new direction. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and especially the strangers that have become dear friends along the way as well as encouraged me to keep pursuing what I love.
This is definitely a timeless photo of my little Calvin. The first year of life always flys by so fast...wish he could stay this little forever.

Soon after my youngest son was born my husband commented that is must be nice to be a baby, as no matter where you are your always home when your with your mother. I feel the sentiment is just as true in reverse.
Book Week is a time honored celebration to raise awareness among student the importance of books and literature. Throughout the five day celebration there will be lots of educational but fun activities such as poetry reading, story writing contests, arts and crafts projects, and a colorful costume parade where students wear their favorite book and comic character.
