In the third week of September we went camping in the Brecon Beacons in Wales at Taybont-on-Usk staying on the campsite at Talybont Farm. I had been to the campsite before as we stayed here at the start of the Canoe Camping Club Easter canoe camp.

The wind was blowing hard, the tail end of Hurricane Katia, it even blow the tent away as we tried to pitch it - we pitched it where it ended up. That night the wind was blowing so hard that it felt as though the tent would be blown away at any minute!

Later in the week the weather got better, but it was still windy. During the week we visited Brecon, the 18th Century Water Mill at Melin Talgarth, Talybont Reservior and The Brecon Mountain Railway.
