Cette image fut prise lors d'un atelier sur la photo de mode donné au club de photo de l'Ancienne-Lorette. Bon ok, je le confesse, je suis davantage un portraitiste...clairage simple avec une seule boîte de lumière.

Not the most exciting of news but today the newest vehicle in the fleet left for the breakers, EY53 ESV a long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter van started life with DHL parcels, it joined The Big Lemon in 2010 and was used to collect waste cooking oil but has since become surplus to requirements. It left for scrap this afternoon having done 204,000 miles and i'm sure it could of done many more. Making me feel old 53 plated vehicles off to the breakers yard.
In the galley, there is a large sink, microwave, and induction stovetop. There is also a fridge that’s a bit larger than our old van as well as a water heater, which is something we didn’t have in our old van. Having hot water will be very welcome! Besides being able to take showers, it’ll make washing dishes easier and help us keep clean overall.
The door to the right is the wet bath. Not having a bathroom in our old van usually wasn’t a problem, but there were a few times when we really could have used it. It’ll help during emergencies and will also allow us to boondock longer while staying cleaner. Body wipes can only cut it for so long! We have a larger water tank than we did before, too, which is a welcome upgrade.
This van also has a heater and air conditioner, two more things our old van didn’t have.
The couch in the back has ottomans and reclines, so we can get very comfy. It also turns into a comfortable queen bed. We both need this and as we get older, that need will only increase, especially after driving a lot or being active. Good sleep and rest can make a huge difference in how anyone feels.
A huge upgrade with this van is the power system. We now have propane, the batteries are larger, the roof has solar panels, and there is a built-in generator. We can be off grid for a long time before running out of power! Update- we have found that the solar makes a really nice difference in how long the power lasts!
We’re going to miss the pop top of our old van, so we’ll see how we like the hard top compared to that. It does give more headroom and keeps things quieter.
We’re thrilled to have this van to adventure with!

The Creux du Van is a natural rocky cirque of approximately 1,400 metres of width and 150 metres of depth. It is located in the Val de Travers district, in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. A very well known, amphitheatre-shaped natural attraction of the area, it is located at the heart of a nature reservation area of 15.5 km².
so we did the van again this year. it went from a leisurely thing to having to be done in about 24 hours due to various reasons, the main one being Squid's departure from Cardiff for the imminent future..
so a little rushed. took about 6 hours in total inbetween the rain. not quite as good as i'd have wanted, but an improvement on last year, and always good to paint a bode

Zu der großen Van Gogh-Ausstellung hat das Städel Museum einen Shop eingerichtet, in dem neben Katalogen, Büchern, Postkarten, Kalendern u.ä. auch viele Produkte angeboten werden, die als unangemessen empfunden werden können.
Vergleichbare Produkte mit dem Konterfei von zB. Gerhard Richter wären unvorstellbar.

The "Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" was just SO amazing! Ken gave me this special treat as a birthday gift, and WOW! We both truly enjoyed it- could have stayed ALL night to take it all in!
It is SO hard to explain- how it feels as if you have literally stepped into Vincent's artwork! It is not set works of art, but projections that change and move- along the walls and down onto the floor! Breathtaking!

B955163 a CAR 20t brake van wearing a weathered B.R. railfreight grey livery with coal sector decals stands in the up sidings at Sellafield in June 1994.
A similar van (possibly 954925) can be seen to its right, beyond the site fence in B.R. railfreight red and grey colours.
Brake vans persisted on Nuclear flask trains until 1998.
A couple hundred yards out behind the long-abandoned Road Runner's Retreat, in arguably the most remote stretch of Route 66, sits this old delivery van, watching as the traffic rounds the bend from Essex to east and wends it way westward towards Amboy, Barstow and eventually Los Angeles.
