On a sunny monday morning during the autumn holidays, I took a day off from work to spend with my daughter Eva. We made a nice walk with our dog Zora in the park of Ockenburg and the forest behind it: Hyacintenbos and Van Leydenhof. Unfortuntaly most of the nature reserve is not open for public. You need to have a special member card to get in and there is a waiting list to get such a member card. It was warm enough to relax on the beach of Monster for a while, although it was too cold to take off your clothes.
Drogisterij De Eekhoorn van de familie Van Malkenhorst, na de sluiting in 1998. Midden boven de voordeur is nog te zien waar zich de gaper bevonden heeft. Omdat die nogal gevoelig was voor vandalisme heeft Van Malkenhorst hem aan een museum geschonken.

Van Brunt is one of the main drags in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn. Red Hook is a peninsula isolated from much of the borough by the BQE and lack of subway service. Those conditions have given the area an interesting feel.
Went on a walk to visit this forest preserve. The lake is called sterling lake in Lake County, Illinois. Definitely worth a check-out!

Annie looks like a Turkish Van, but she's not purebred. She's a dilute calico "Van-alike": pure white except for some coloring at her head and her tail. She knows she is lovely, too, and has a temperamental personality to match. She is very territorial of my bed and chases my other cats away at times.
She is, however, devoted to Molly and often snuggles up to her. They are like two peas in a pod. When they're not trading swipes, that is.
This picture is actually a by-product of the final project we did for the 'Artists and Architects in Residence' program at the MAKCenter, Los Angeles from October 2006 till March 2007. The exhibition took place from March 7th till March 11th 2007. Check out our project.
