a bridal party was the last thing I expected to find on turning up to a planned blue hour shoot of this tree! it turned out to benefit all, as I offered to assist the lovely couple and their photographer to climb over an electric fence to the tree the bride would climb in exchange for my taking some shots of my own.
hope you like them.
❄ Spring 2019 - This is what my Horse Chestnut tree looks like after Sunday April 8, Episode of Freezing Rain + Monday April 9, Snow Storm = Icy Chestnut ... and power failure. What do we sing now ? My Country is not a country, it's winter or Sweet Spring, when will you come back?
On chante quoi ?
I love spring time, especially the bursting out of fresh flowers and leaves. This big tree is standing in a small citypark, together with a frew friends giving a green place to be. Looking upward gives you a picture of the power of nature, creating new life every year. Amsterdam, 2017.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!

Just trying something different. Was bored and went for a drive down some deserted streets and found this

A pair of Northern Cardinals hang out in an old dead tree. Northern refers to hemisphere, not latitude, as the brilliantly colored bird is at home from the Canadian maritime provinces to the Yucatan peninsula. They are ground feeders. Here the female forages among the tree roots for seeds and bugs while the male stands guard from a high vantage point, ready to sound the alarm should the neighborhood cat appear.
This was the other photo I was debating over for my Project 50 shot for today. I went with the rock and barnacles because I really liked how the colors popped. But I thought this one turned out well too, so I decided to post it.
Near the lake, sun was shinning, weird looking tree and empty house which wanted me to capture that moment.
I love lone tree shots and was lucky enough to find one at the old schoolhouse I went to the other day. I have another one with the fence and the moon I might post either tomorrow for HFF or later on. Anyway, this was taken sooc about 6:30 am with the last of the night burning off. Thanks everyone, this one made Explore!
