Day 2: Tranquil
I've been starting to feel the stress of October already! I've been over at my mom's since she's had surgery, working from home, Photober, and trying to get some stuff done around the house. I'm also moving next month so money's pretty tight. On top of this, I have a convention to help organize as best I can. Trying to remember that things get better, and that soon at least moving will be done with!
This photo is a composite of 3 images. That's what happens when you get lazy and don't take enough shots in camera to get what you want

Tranquility Park in downtown Houston, Texas opened to visitors in 1979 was dedicated on the 10th anniversary of the moon landing. It was designed by Charles Tapley.
View from North End of Sognsvann Lake, Oslo, was so peaceful and tranquil when we visited at the height of Summer 2018
Although walking up the canal there was an air raid siren, followed by the dull thud of an explosive (oh, there's the bomb) and then the all clear!
I firmly believe that everyone needs time to rejuvenate themselves. Being on the mountains was just so peaceful, and beautiful. It was refreshing to be away from my cubicle and to be in a state of tranquility. Though I can't take these mountains with me everywhere, practicing yoga brings me back to these mountains.
This was a pretty random post... But just my thoughts when I look at this photo. Can you believe this was taken with a straight point and shoot? Shot this with my waterproof Canon Powershot D10. It felt weird not dialing in my settings but I'm still amazed at the quality a little powerful compact can take. Gotta rock those tiny but mighty sensors! ;D

Tranquility peaceful calm scenic view of flowing water in the Boulder County Colorado St Vrain River. A scenic summer view looking up the St Vrain Creek. St. Vrain Creek often known locally as the St. Vrain River is a tributary of the South Platte River, approximately 32.2 miles long, in north central Colorado in the United States. It drains part of the foothills north of Boulder and the Colorado Piedmont area in the vicinity of Longmont.
The creek is formed by the confluence of North and South St. Vrain creeks at Lyons. The creek rises in several branches in the foothills of the Front Range northwest of Boulder. Middle St. Vrain Creek rises along the continental divide, west of St. Vrain Mountain. It descends in canyon to flow along State Highway 7 and past Raymond. It joins the shorter South St. Vrain Creek about two miles below Raymond. North St. Vrain Creek rises northeast of St. Vrain Mountain near Allenspark and descends in a canyon to the east along U.S. Highway 36. The two branches join at Lyons, at the mouth of the canyon. East of Lyons, the combined stream flows southeast through farmland and ranch country, passing south of Hygiene and entering Longmont. It passes through the south side of Longmont where it is rimmed by a greenway trail and several parks. East of Longmont it flows generally northeast, meandering through a wide river bottom in ranch country and passing under Interstate 25 south of the intersection with State Highway 66. It joins the South Platte from the west just upstream from the ruins of Fort St. Vrain and approximately 4 miles northwest of Platteville. Source: wikipedia

A leisurely day out on the river with family. Beautiful scenery along the river banks. Takes the stress away..
“We are not going to change the whole world, but we can change ourselves and feel free as birds. We can be serene even in the midst of calamities and, by our serenity, make others more tranquil. Serenity is contagious. If we smile at someone, he or she will smile back. And a smile costs nothing. We should plague everyone with joy. If we are to die in a minute, why not die happily, laughing?
― Swami Satchidananda

This was a distance shot of close to where the Music Man was playing his guitar. I didn't even see the people standing there until I'd gotten home. Not that I'm anywhere close to Thomas Kincaid, but those trees on the right really remind me of some of his work for some reason.
Here is another self portrait from the self portrait series that I am shooting now for my photography class. So far it has been a lot of fun shooting myself although very challenging at times.
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

Tranquility Gardens is located at Wellstar Cobb Hospital, Austell GA. In the midst of hospital, Hospice, Oncology Dr's office and traffic/. This little garden is about twenty five years old and has changed over the years but still remains. After my Mother passed away I purchased a paver in memory of her and another paver in memory of my husband's mother. I forget about this tucked away wonder and had not visited in a long time.

This is one from back in Mornington, Nr Melbourne - photography has been not as good today! lol. 75 second exposure here :-)
An artpiece composed of several effects, the main image, layers, drawings done in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and some processing in Adobe Lightroom 3 Beta. My aim was to make this look like a classic chinese scroll painting.
This is an image of Harpoon Rock at Harling Point in front of the Chinese Cemetary. Songhee legend has it, that this rock was 'Transformed' from a fisherman who went out to sea.
The area is very tranquil and you would not think that this is on the shores of a well populated suburban area in Victoria.
Tranquility is the right word to describe this rock and the area of the beach. Part of my asian name is the word Tranquility (the top right character I drew in Adobe Illustrator). My mother always said I would eventually embody my namesake. One of the things I do love about photography is that it allows me to find some tranquility in this world.
Used to be only two things would quiet the noise of ideas in my head and that was showering or some sort of white noise. Photography seems to be doing the same thing these days.
I also want to dedicate this image to my friends of flickr. Your support has made my journey in photography very very rewarding.
