We shoot two days in Nubra Valley, on the first day, started from the front, where people start their camel safari and on the second we started out shoot from the back to front. This shot I took on second day, at the end of the day. I liked the tranquility of the entire valley with stand still water, reflection of the clouds, the colours of blue hour.
Winter - Lake Huron. No towering ice formations this year, just a peaceful setting of infinite ice cover to the horizon and bright blue skies.
Part of the Japanese Garden at The Huntington Library & Botanical Garden in Pasadena, CA. I hope ths IR photo worked out better than my last one from the Rose Garden. There's still a lot of foliage that might make this a bit busy. However, there are more shadows and darker objects and regions to make this a bit less flat. More pictures from a couple of the other gardens will be posted in the coming days and weeks.
Better on black.
Thought this was an interesting quote to compliment this shot of a Toronto streetcar in motion along Spadina in downtown Toronto. The other thing I like is that the figure is dressed in the same black and red colours as the streetcar. A lucky coincidence.

What a day. This day was quite extraordinary in many ways. It had highs and lows and all in between. Overall it was quite amazing really. I had quite a rough morning, didn't feel that great, my body ached, I wanted more sleep the list goes on and on. Then, my wife the wonderful and wise person she is told me to change my plans for lunch for something a little more fun and cheerful (at least for me) I went out and got a prime rib, mushroom and swiss sandwich it tasted amazing and I enjoyed it while I got to the climax of my newest audiobook which is now at the brink of amazingness. This small but tasty lunch was the beginning of the change from a poor day to a great day. After lunch I went in to work on a new webpage design (something I occassionally do for my company) - the design was giving me a hard time nothing seemed to look very good. I was beginning to get frustrated when suddenly my phone beeped to life, I looked down and saw a message from none other then Scott Bourne via twitter. The message was basically Congratulations, you won a new 5D Mark II and a gift card from @AlbumEpocaUS. I looked at the message and read it about 6 times before understanding hit me. I had one a contest on twitter, one out of a 90,000 chance (just a guess on the odds) - "is that possible, is it real?" I kept thinking to myself....
Then the floodgates came in; hundreds of congratulations messages from all over twitter hit my inbox, it was quite amazing. My day suddenly went from bad, to decent, to astounding! It really is amazing how the most lucky and random of events can make a impact on you. Your attitude, you energy, your focus (well my focus was toast for the rest of the day de to all the excitment). I cannot really put to words how I feel. I g just won an amazing giveaway. I'm writing this to tell everyone - luck can come from anywhere, one small (or in my case large) thing can change the entire outlook of the day. Life is not planned, events unfold that are amazing and unexpected. Enjoy it while you can.
I now sit in my small little condo enjoying the tranquility of the night. I pulled out an image from my aperture library that I've been enjoying by myself- simple and natural. I wanted to share it with all of you. Have a nice evening - tomorrow something amazing might happen to you. Be thankful for it, I truly am.
Special thanks to Scott Bourne and AlbumEpocaUS for changing the outlook of my day.

After opening the large wooden door to the road, you step into a tranquil courtyard lined with beautiful plants.
