I took this image around brunch time on Table Mountain inside "Tranquility Cracks" on Saturday.
Gear used: Fujifilm X-T1 + Rokinon 12mm f2 NCS
A tranquil morning at El Charco de San Gines in Arrecife. Probably about the only time I have been there in the early morning.
On our way to Mount Field National Park to do the Lake Belcher Walk yesterday, Just couldn’t get past these beautiful scenes with Mountains, Clouds and Sun’s just coming out, Black Swans in the Lake and to top it all, the Mist!
How can you ignore it?
While on your hike through a humid forest, the silence is abruptly interrupted by slowly rumbling thunder. The wind begins to slowly rise and you hear the sounds of rain and wind upon the forest trees. The humidity is broken by the cold and refreshing drops of rain falling onto your face. You watch as the atmosphere replenishes the forest with tranquil rain.
Quick trip into Margate and stopped off to shoot the harbour as the evening colours were lovely. This one has small amount of cross processing. Best viewed on black.
This is Mackenzie Point, it is one of my favourite places to go to sit and listen to the lake slapping at the rocks. The water is very cold so I don't swim in it but it is a nice place to sit on the rocks with a good book or with a good camera.

Take a moment to breathe in the serenity of this picturesque pastoral scene, captured on the way to the stunning Lake District in the UK. With lush green fields, grazing cows and sheep, and the gentle embrace of nature, this image captures the essence of peaceful rural life. Perfect for those who cherish simplicity and the beauty of the countryside. 🐄🐑🌳
We usually find that in a very quiet environment where nothing much happens, we are easily distracted and readily follow the direction of desires that arise within us.
We regard serenity in our lives as being dependent on the environment. We seem to think that tranquility comes to us when we place ourselves in a tranquil situation, but actually the reverse is true. It is the state of the heart and mind which determines how tranquil our surroundings can be. It is said that, "A calm heart makes a shaky hut stable".
Inner tranquility does not come easily and a person whose heart is filled with craving may stand by a deep, still pool and still feel his heart churning with desires. He may be in a lonely forest but unable to sense the stillness; while those who have relinquished all desires from their hearts may feel refreshed under the burning summer sun. They may live in the middle of the busiest city and not hear its noise.
These kind of thought leave me with other question in mind... What thoughts tend to block our awareness of serenity and tranquility?
Taken: Early morning hitch hiking in the jungles of Sharan, Kaghan Valley, Pakistan.
It was a lovely sunny day in Bristol today so El and I headed up to Leigh Woods for a walk and some photo taking. We ended up on a different path than we planned to walk along but it worked out really well in the end as we could still have a mini photo shoot and we came across a tree full of birds to take photos of as well.

I've been too busy for new snaps, so I decided to see what I was up to at about this time last year with the old Fuji Finepix... (before I came to Flickr!) ;-)
Tranquility
Calm waters. Made this photo while walking on this beautiful day of sunshine after so many rainy days.
Beautiful displayed , landscaped area, which has been professionally planted (Fran of Abbey Landscape ) and is called Templemore Park Tranquility Garden. Springtime will hopefully this bring this tranquility area with colours, and flowering bulbs. With the paved area they will be framed by bright trees and hedges.
“It is in your power to withdraw yourself whenever you desire. Perfect tranquility within consists in the good ordering of the mind, the realm of your own.”

Thank You God for a Lovely Day
Thank you God for a lovely day
For children's laughter while they play
And the simple things of this day.
Thank you God for the things unseen
That show us what this life can mean,
For the voices heard and the guiding hands,
For the comfort brought from far off lands.
Thank you God for the sight to see
The beauties here surrounding me,
For a glimpse into the world unseen
And a thought as to what this world might have been.
I pray Oh God as I patiently wait
For my turn to pass throu thy garden gate,
That my Spirit in my earthly shell
Has learned Life's lesson and progressed well,
That I carry in my heart no hate
I pray please God I am not too late.

So simple to just sit and relax and watch the incoming tide and the setting sun on a beautiful afternoon. Nothing beats the simplicity of watching life itself.

Beautiful crystal blue waters washing up on a sandy beach with white clouds against a light blue sky.
It's Walpurgis Night and it's time to light the fires. Mother nature lights her own fire by slowly going to bed. It is Walpurgis night and we feel friendship and calmness. We warm ourselves around the fire and we let the tranquility give peacefulness to our minds.
