Exploring the trail was like stepping into a postcard – peaceful cows grazing in open pastures, framed by a breathtaking view of a small mountain peak in the distance. The golden light of the afternoon added warmth to every shot, bringing out the earthy tones of the landscape.

Kuilau Ridge Trail is a very nice hike. The first part is on an asphalt base path that has a gentle incline. The path continues to be wide and un-rutted but still muddy in spots. After about 30-40 minutes, the 1 mile mark, you will reach a small grassy picnic area overlooking a valley. You can see Mt. Wai’ale’ale and the Makaleha Mountains if it’s clear. Across the first valley you will see powerlines which follow the Kualapa Ridge. The Powerline Trail follow these power poles across the island. From the right side of the clearing looking east you will see the trail switchbacking below you where the Kuilau Ridge Trail ends and the Moalepe Trail begins. Continue down the path to the right

to see winding, rolling hills and a view to the Nounou Mountains and ocean. Once you reach the wooden bridge (Opaekaa Stream) you reach the end of the Kuilau Ridge Trail and the start of the Moalepe Trail.

To get to Kuilau Ridge Trail you continue to drive past Opaekaa Falls to the end of the road. Just before you get to the Keahua Forest Arboretum and the first stream crossing. The trail is on the right. Total round

trip distance is 4 1/2 miles and 760 feet elevation change.

The Sweet Creek Trail follows the scenic cascading waters of Sweet Creek. Hikers will encounter 11 waterfalls in all, each framed by mossy rocks and ferns and under a canopy of Douglas-fir, Alder and Big leaf maple.

The trail runs close to a lake but disappears quickly.

Camel Trail is a bike trail that links Bodmin to Padstow passing through Wadebridge. It uses the former place in which stood the rail linking those towns. Except for a small part across wadebridge, this is a bike only trail. It is 17 miles long. As we departed form Wadebridge to Padstow, than we went to Bodmin and returned to Wadebridge, we cycled 34 miles (about 54 km).

This trail provides many views of the rainbow-colored metamorphic rocks that attracted miners to this area in the 1870's, in the hopes of finding silver. Although the hike can be done as a day trip, many backpackers make these lakes their first stop on their way over Franklin Pass to Rattlesnake Canyon, the Kern Canyon and Mt Whitney

One of the most convenient amenities for students and residents at The Waters is the Trail to Education, a path that leads directly from The Waters to the Pike Road Elementary School. The trail is accessible by foot, bike — and even golf cart. It is open year-round and offers students and parents a safe car-free route between home and school.

The Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield sponsors the Trail of Lights event each holiday season. More than one million twinkling lights illuminate walking paths that wind through the Gardens. This is one of the wonderfully illuminated scenes that I saw along the Trail of Lights.

We lucked out with a gorgeous morning to explore Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.We got a very early start and headed for Kilauea Crater. No lava activity but it was still very impressive. After that we headed for the Lava Tube - very wet inside and a nice nature walk to get to it. From there it was the Chain of Craters Road - the amount of lava was overwhelming. We made it to the coast and walked to the Sea Arch viewpoint and then walked along the coast. We headed back to the Visitor Center around 2 pm and ran into a massive rain storm. Good time to go back to our room. I took these photos in early March 2023.

Lit the tree up with flashlights and 30 sec exposure. Reaaaaaaaallly need a spotlight.

The International Appalachian Trail (IAT; French: Sentier International des Appalaches, SIA) is a hiking trail which runs from the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail at Mount Katahdin, Maine, through New Brunswick, to the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec, after which it takes bridge crossings to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, a ferry ride to Newfoundland, and then continues to the northernmost tip of the Appalachian Mountains at Belle Isle, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Snowmobile trails criss cross the Province of Quebec. One can travel almost the entire region on a snow machine. Those using the trails for anything but snowmobiling take warning: the volume of traffic and speeds of the machines can be dangerous for pedestrians. We used a short section of this snowmobile trail and we were warned by a passing skidoo'er that we were in 'great danger' and should get off the trail ASAP. Years ago when there weren't as many snowmobiles we used these trails often but now it's unsafe, so we have to stay away, in the bush, where it's safe! I guess it's a sign of the times, machine wins over the individual!

This is a trail to a desolate, crappy place to shoot drugs and get some sleep behind the former Jon's Furniture on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento. No one's supposed to be able to get back there, but it's pretty easy to approach it through a gap in the fence from the south, near the abandoned trailer park slabs behind the Payless Shoe Source and JimBoy's Tacos. This is the trail that crosses a small grassy field between it and another semi-private hell behind Thrift Town.
