Beautiful day for a stroll on Robbins Trail in Danville. These tree lined trails make for a cool walk on this hot day. The leaves are starting to fall giving us a glimpse of what Autumn has to bring. We can't wait to revisit this park in a few weeks to see it in the blazing colors of fall.
Trails run approximately 3.9 miles in length. Robbins Trail offers visitors a wide range of options, from secluded trails through meadows, woodlands and wetlands, to organized sports fields. It is also the oldest known rail-to-trail in the U.S. (Old Reading Line).

The Honopu Ridge Trail winds it's way through dark forests, thick vegetation, and along ridgetops, as it leads to a stunning viewpoint. It is best to wear light long pants or the ferns will be scraping across your legs for the first mile. There is a good bit of descent in the first mile and a half, it's not that much different than many of the ridges in the area. The trail is not officially maintained or marked so you must climb over or under many fallen trees, and climb down steep slopes. Honopu Ridge Trail is a 4.6 mile hike that takes you to incredible views of Honopu Valley and a portion of the Na Pali Coastline. The trail drops about 1,650ft in elevation from the trailhead to the ridge.
We started the hike at 7:00am and ended at 10:30 am. It is best to do this trail mid day for the proper light. I would not suggest to do this trail on a wet day.
went for a 30+ mile pedal on the Pinellas Trail. Thankfully these young folks were selling ice-cold bottled water.

After a very productive photographic weekend, I got my friend Simon to pose for some experimental light trail shots on his rather wacky bike.
Our return hike on Meadow Creek Trail in Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho
June 5, 2010: After weeks of heavy rains and wondering if summer was ever going to come, we were blessed with a beautiful day. With most of our area rivers under flood watches, we decided that fishing was out. Yet we wanted to enjoy the beautiful day. We grabbed our hiking gear and my camera and drove 3 hours through the towns of Lewiston, Orofino, Kamiah, Kooskia, and Lowell Idaho and along the Clearwater and Selway Rivers to the Meadow Creek Trailhead above Selway Falls. We hiked 6 miles along Meadow Creek and were thrilled that we only saw one other group the entire time.

Atalanti national path. The trail goes around Chionistra mountain at an altitude of 1,700¬-1,750 metres, passing through dense areas of black pine trees and Foetid Juniper. One of the largest trees ¬ Foetid Juniper ¬ is found on the trail; it is 800 years old. There are wonderful views of all the areas of the island. The entrance tunnel of the chrome mine ¬ which has been out of service since 1982 is particularly interesting.

Checked a trail today. Needs a good cleaning. Some people have no respect for the environment. I’ll have a cleanup crew out there soon.

Not much in the way of waterfalls or such in Chandigarh, so have to make do with whatever I find in Rock Garden. Not that Rock Garden is bad in any way. Just very small scale.
