Sword Fern Trail runs close to houses and apartment buildings so the trail closure is a necessary precaution. So far as I am aware this is the only closure in this part of Pacific Spirit Park

We are on a narrow asphalt trail, designed to be shared by cyclists and pedestrians. A steel handrail separates us from a pair of light rail tracks just to our left, on which a C-class Melbourne tram is heading towards South Melbourne, the city and Box Hill. The tram is in white livery with yellow and green details.

In the woods I made images of some apple blossom and garlic and then along the trail I caught some Blue tits using a nest box and an image of the trail with no one on it.

Beautiful day for a stroll on Robbins Trail in Danville. These tree lined trails make for a cool walk on this hot day. The leaves are starting to fall giving us a glimpse of what Autumn has to bring. We can't wait to revisit this park in a few weeks to see it in the blazing colors of fall.
Trails run approximately 3.9 miles in length. Robbins Trail offers visitors a wide range of options, from secluded trails through meadows, woodlands and wetlands, to organized sports fields. It is also the oldest known rail-to-trail in the U.S. (Old Reading Line).
