The Putnam Trailway is being extended east. The paved trail already extends from Brewster to Yonkers and may eventually reach Connecticut.

The Old Town Trail is a bike/hike trail that is part of the Sugar Pine Trail, a former Southern Pacific railroad right-of-way. The trail runs for 13 miles between Clovis and Fresno. There are numerous benches for resting along the route, many of them covered, like this one.

Here is the second in the series from the original long exposure shoot where I made ghostly like trails around a static person. As I am looking at surreal photography I thought that long exposure was a perfect topic to study as I can play around with all of the images and make them as surreal or as realistic as I wanted. With this shoot like I did previously I wanted to look into emotions and how they effect people and at this point in my life it feels as if people are constantly around me never letting me be so this is what I wanted to portray in this image.
I set my camera to around a 1 second shutter speed as I didn't want it to be over exposed and then took a series of images where I was moving around in the back ground of a static shot to show the business happening behind me.

On our jopurney from Washington to Staunton we drove along the Skyline Drive - but time constraints meant that we had no time to stop for exploration. The next day we went back and drove up the southern section of the Skyline, stopping for a short walk to Blackrock Summit. Thus we managed to walk a very short section of the Appalachian Trail.
NY Dept of Conservation canoe carry trail marker. In the St. Regis canoe are of the Adirondack Par there are countless canoe routes on ponds and lakes and rivers with short carries down marked paths.

It was scorching hot, about 110 degrees Fahrenheit, but we enjoyed the impressive views on this trail within the Palo Duro Canyon.

I Believe In Magic...Day 10
*Centered*
Yesterday I went up Cowels Mountain for a *centering* hike. I need this type of centering in my life. The work week found me operating a meeting room as an audio/video tech for an ophthalmology convention. Many of my presenters over the course of three days were motivational and life coach type speakers.
I must say it was a good experience, but getting out on the mountain is the real breath of fresh air...
I spent a long, cold hour and 38 minutes by Donner Lake in April to get this shot. The process consisted of continuously taking photos and later combining them to show the the stars moving across the night sky. I also missed five and a half minutes when my camera stopped, creating what looks like a break in the trails. At first I didn’t like this, but the effect is growing on me. Multiple trains passing through gave the foreground an added bonus of a streak of light through the mountain. I’m happy with this first attempt and excited to try it again!
