Out to grab a photograph, very poor timing today, got out the car and it started raining, grabbed a couple of shots, and off to grab a few essentials from the shop, came out into sunshine!
Dunnet Bay, Caithness, Scotland.
"Saturday, in the Park, I think it was the 4th of July."
Actually, it was probably a Sunday. That's when most of our pick-up games happened. We would take over a meadow in Golden Gate Park and play until the fog rolled in and it got too cold. Don't remember how many players generally showed up, but now a group cannot number more than 25 to play in open spaces within the Park without a permit. Several of us were on USVBA teams and competed throughout the Northern Bay Area and over to Sacramento.

The sunlight was shining just right through a crystal glass onto the chalkboard. What are the chances?!!!
The intricate valve-gear of 3807, correct to the millimetre to that of its life-size counterpart is captured in a momentary stationary state. (All scaled down of course!)
Grady and I set out early this morning to pick up my sister-in-law from the airport. Since we left with plenty of time, I suggested we try to see the switcher at the brewery and Grady was all for it. After about 10 minutes of waiting, Grady inquired if I brought the potty chair as he had a deposit to make. No sooner had he finished and I cleaned up than the FTRL 257 came shoving up Dorcas St with 3 loads! Right after they chugged up the hill, it was time to highball for the airport! We threaded the needle for sure this morning!

Here is why I named this image "Perfect Timing" . It was the morning of my third wedding anniversary and we were camping at the beach in South Carolina. Just before sunrise, we were walking along on the beach and found this sand dollar in the surf. I quickly positioned it in a good spot and laid down on the sand to wait for the sun to come over the horizon. No more than 2 minutes after finding it, I took this photo. I love how the golden light is bouncing off of the sand and sand dollar.

L576 heads south as the sky's about to release more snow. Haven't seen much lately...or had time to go out so I'll take what I can get.
Our Daily Challenge: Timing is everything. Yes, as my daughter so kindly pointed out, this is out of focus. My two comments: One: catching these fast little bullets speeding through the air is some kind of challenging. Two: in spite of the blurriness, I like it. So there.
A woman tends to her herd of sheep in traditional Peruvian attire. Women in Peru tend to wear all sorts of hats - their hat is a symbol of the woman's place in her society. The style is tied to their tribal affiliations, and they vary from bowler hats, to cowboy hats and everything in between. If a woman moves to the city and decides to adopt the city dress, without the hat, this is looked upon as a renouncement of their local tribal culture and community and they can never go back.
The timing point in Bloxwich for buses was for many years "Bulls Head". In this photo the premises were still trading on 10th August 2002 with 2762 closer to the camera. Like many public houses the Brewers' attitude to prices charged to operators of public houses (expecially tied houses) has resulted in closure of such premises. Cheaper prcies charged to supermarkets than to pub tenants.
