A marvel of engineering, but I bet this design didn't last too long...

this bald eagle swoops across the Mississippi River near Redwing, Minnesota to snatch-up some lunch on a cold winter day.

We went out to take her last-day-as-an-eleven-year-old photo and just then a motorized paraglider photo bombed us. Talk about #Timing !

Street photography makes you appreciate the miracle of timing. Buddhists say, "There are three layers to a moment: Your experience, your awareness of the experience, and your story about the experience."

They should talk more about deliberate timing.

Sexist Comment Alert !! - "Mm,just got time to finish this race and get home to put that casserole in the oven".

A runner in the Gloucester 10k Race - 4.7.21.

The timing of this RHTT is such then the sun is pretty much side on and both ends are backlit. Still, it makes for an interesting record of these vintage type 1 locos. 20303 leads 20305 as it approaches Hambleden West Junction working the 11.40 Sheffield to Hull. 25/10/2018

Ever have one of those days?

When you just have to let go. Go crazy. Run. Jump.

If you look close, he's wearing a yellow watch. It doesn't match the tie.

Strobist:

Want to know something funny? Seems like it would be hard to get the shadow of his foot resting on the ground right? There was no modeling light on the flash, so we just had to guess it. We nailed it almost every single time. Weird huh? Good timing and luck I guess.

One light - Camera right, just about eye level. It is a visitek portable battery pack, and one head. Portable is a misnomer because the sucker is pretty heavy. No diffusion used to keep the shadow nice and crisp.

Triggered with a pocket wizard

Josie's timing could not have been better. The skeleton popped up at Ricky's eye level causing them to meet face to face. "Sweet," she thought.

To be honest, Josie was relieved when her friends finally arrived. She was ready to get out of there.

Time doesn't wait for any of us, so finding artefacts in old abandoned buildings is always a bonus!

The label reads 'Brammer V belting' and is from one of the many belts still attached to the belt and cog driven machines in this derelict Tentering Mill/Dyeworks in Somerset.

Subject: the man

Rule-of-Thirds: center

Light: -quality of light: soft

-color of light: mixed, cool and warm

DOF: shallow

Color: complimentary- blue and orange

Special Technique: no

Rule Breaking Clause: usually the subject should be in total focus but with this photo the subject is not in total focus. But he is perfectly framed and in the dead center of the frame.

Timing is everything, kept flipping his lunch around until he was ready to finish it off

you do not just wake up and become the butterfly

On the left is Freightliner Heavy Hauls' 66519 heading for Wellingborough on the MML. It is working 4F30: 12:25Washwood Heath GBRf to Wellingborough US engineers conveying concrete sleepers.

On the right is EWS liveried, DB Cargo operated 66122 which is on the sharp end of 6X01 Scunthorpe Trent Yard to Eastleigh Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) train.

I was fortunate enough to take this photo right at the time where the two people in it were sharing a laugh. It was a truly lucky capture and there is nothing better than seeing joy on people’s faces.

Last Friday we were stuck in Houston for a few extra hours due to the ice. Today we have the windows open cause it's in the 70's.

For this photo I really wanted to capture the idea of time as my greatest asset. This photo was mainly centered around the discovery that I had a giant glass hourglass. I think the photo captured the interesting idea of the evolution of time-telling and time itself.

I think the combination of the three devices are all centered around the fact that they are all ways to tell time. All of the devices are different, especially the hourglass, but they are all similar in the fact that they can be used to tell time.

Timing is everything when the opportunistic moment presents itself. I had been watching this scene waiting for something to "develop" and there it happened all in flash before me.
