Bon timing pour la lumière...mais pas pour les grimpeurs. Ça ne rendra la prochaine visite que plus intéressante - Great timing for the light ... not so much for the climbers as they were packing up as I arrived; It'll provide motivation for another visit.
Perfect timing, this morning it started snowing - a white xmas after all.

Rule Breaking Clause: usually the subject should be in total focus but with this photo the subject is not in total focus. But he is perfectly framed and in the dead center of the frame.
The timing for our trip to Texas was centered around the Bluebonnet flowering season. It has been many years since I’ve been able to be in central Texas for the wild flowers. Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower. In April the fields and all along the highway become a blanket of blue. Indian paintbrush add a complimentary red color.

I was fortunate enough to take this photo right at the time where the two people in it were sharing a laugh. It was a truly lucky capture and there is nothing better than seeing joy on people’s faces.

As we were leaving the garden centre these two splendid characters were just outside collecting for a charity called 'The Not Forgotten Association'

I didn't ask their names but I tracked them down on the internet.
The president of Bournemouth branch of The Regimental Association of The Rifles & RGBW on the left is Col Mike Vernon- Powell and the Chairman of the same is Mr Les Devine.
Perfect timing for me indeed, I love these characterful faces.
I couldn't get them to stand close enough together so I had to shunt them nearer in Photoshop!
With good timing an inbound EMT train passes by heading to Liverpool with EMR Class 170's, No 170207 still in old GE livery, paired up with No 170416 on 1L09 09:51 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich train, passes Hough Green Station. 7 April 2025.

For this photo I really wanted to capture the idea of time as my greatest asset. This photo was mainly centered around the discovery that I had a giant glass hourglass. I think the photo captured the interesting idea of the evolution of time-telling and time itself.
I think the combination of the three devices are all centered around the fact that they are all ways to tell time. All of the devices are different, especially the hourglass, but they are all similar in the fact that they can be used to tell time.

Photography is all about finding the right angle and moment at the same time. Think about it... Eventually it all comes down to timing.
Offcourse, you need light but when the moment is wrong you won`t capture the real essence.
Take this scene for instance, I`ve been here lots of times, passing by and not seeing the potential of the scene. But tonight, I accidently looked back and got struck by the lines, the angle of light and the magnificent colors.
I quickly changed lenses and slapped on the DA15mm F4 ltd and searched for a nice angle.
2 minutes later the moment was gone and the sun wasn`t even down yet.
Josie's timing could not have been better. The skeleton popped up at Ricky's eye level causing them to meet face to face. "Sweet," she thought.
To be honest, Josie was relieved when her friends finally arrived. She was ready to get out of there.

Consider, no matter what gait or style you are switching between, the transition should occur between the shoulder and girth of the horse. See the picture above as a reference. Green is a perfect spot for a transition, blue is satisfactory, red is too late or too early.

twice each year, i try and catch the sun setting in the arch of st. louis. sometimes it's cloudy, sometimes i forget. until a few days ago, i've never been in the right place at the right time.
only one other time i came close, but i missed it by a day and i shot it from my back yard so i didn't get the full skyline in the picture (almost got it)
this was taken from the top of monk's mound near my home. i had about five minutes to run to the top of this 100 foot mound to set up and get the shot. i'm soooo glad i made it.
