This year has proven to be difficult for a lot of people. Unemployment is up and business profits are down. In a time of limited employment options, even the concept of living “paycheck to paycheck” can appear attractive. It’s time to start seizing control. It’s time to stop watching small business after small business fold up shop on the corner of your neighborhood. It’s time to start taking our local communities back: one block at a time! double exposure project with my friend Robert Easter

It was time to think of his next move .. the grey was sneaking in again trying to take over the day and ruin the adventure ..

I think these series of advertisements are targeted to a younger generation. Young adults who are just getting out of their parents houses, and making independent, and sometimes stupid decisions. I think it's made to make stupidity and mistakes and experiences rather than things to be embarrassed about or regret. I think a lot of people perceive these advertisements negatively. I think a lot of America's society wants to portray a more classy and conservative and expensive, educated look. I think by making funny jokes, and rhetorical remarks, makes these ad's a bit more endearing and just say be young, and have fun. I think this series has more than just hot skinny models to show off their clothes, but they use images that portray funny, risky, or just plain stupid things to really get their point across. It's a young brand, and young people love learning experiences life hands to us. I think Diesel's new campaign definitely hit that target.

I think one of the common misconceptions about doing this project is that I am narcissistic and I like to see pictures of myself and put myself out there. That honestly can't be further from the truth. When I first started this project, there was a part of me that needed to accept who I am and how I look. I don't like what I look like, but this project has given me more acceptance than I once had. Still there are days I just can't do it. I just can't look at myself.

I try as hard as I can to put on a strong front. I try to be strong and I try not to show emotion. Most of the pictures I post I am not smiling... as much as I try to hide it, I am going through some serious shit right now. work, relationships, my own self worth and loathing all take a toll on me. I guess that is why I took this picture, I just didn't want to put my self out there, I didn't want to put my brave face on for the world. So here is my hand, it is me, and I don't make a habit of this, but for some reason I just don't want to take any other picture.

I think the truck is a P-8 Pumper for structural firefighting. To the left is the smoke house we used for training in search and rescue work, as well as firefighting.
