Think of how lucky you are about not dying in 9/11
I miss all the people that have died even though I didn't know them
Please keep a place in your heart for these people who died for no reason
Left: I've got an awful cold so hot ribena is what I'm drinking at the moment
Right: One of my lovely birthday presents, it's meant to be a beaker but I'm using it as a cotton wool holder instead
I should have talked to the guy and find out why he would give this little tip on the back of his car. Maybe that's what he needs to drive the thing at his age.

The Thinker
Auguste Rodin, 1903
Patinated plaster
The athletic nudity of The Thinker seems to allude to the ancient belief that a healthy mind should reside in a healthy body. The right elbow on the left thigh creates a torsion that, together with the forward-leaning pose, sets the figure in motion.

Thought
Auguste Rodin, 1895
Marble
The head emerging from a rough-worked block of stone is modelled on that of the sculptor Camille Claudel, Rodin's studio assistant, protégé, and lover. It was originally called Thought Emerging from Matter.

I love recess, and think it's the perfect fabric for making a simple charm square quilt. It feels a bit like going back to basics, and it's good to do that from time to time.
I used 2 recess charm packs to make this smallish quilt (size: +/- 90 x 115 cm, or 35" x 42") and it only took me one and a half day from start to finish! I used another favorite, Katie jump rope, for the binding, and Michael Miller Ta dot in flannel for the back.

I think this was taken at CLE. The MD-80 fleet was retired long before the merger. I managed to ride on one from MEX to IAH about a month before they disappeared.
I think I achieved a lot with this photo. I blurred out the background to enhance the overall appearance of the photo. Texture is noticeable in the photo in many ways, in my opinion. You can see the opening and veins in the flowers. You can also see some of the texture on the leaves. I think I could've gotten a different angle and maybe a more clear photo but overall I'm quite happy with it.
I am think'n when dad gets home I will sneak in another nap...and how I feel so naked without my collar and why does that bird taunt me, and when the hell are they going to open that pool? hahaha
