I think this is a Queen Bee, my wife thinks it's a Bumblebee.
I present you with my Queen Bumblebee!

Thanks in advance, for any likes or comments. I appreciate your support. Peace.
I think the two fishermen are harvesting Mussels but I wasn't carrying a wetsuit so I was unable to go out and ask them? There is quite a lot of detail in the photo if you view it large. :)

Rhama Thinks It's Weird That I Stare At The Window During A Heavy Rainstorm.
It Would Be A Lot Less Weird If She'd Just Let Me In.

Really struggled to think of something original and different for this theme on Crazy Tuesday. I tried a few different ideas but none of them seemed to work, especially not to my satisfaction.
Gave up for a while and decided, mid-afternoon to boil an egg as a snack as feeling a bit peckish and whilst the water was boiling away, the thought struck me that maybe there might be a suitable ‘motion blur’ shot in the pan, not just the egg!
I took some shots and, lo and behold I arrived at some images that might prove suitable, I thought. I chose this one and after a little cropping decided that it was different and in my mind, quite original. The water surface appears smoothed out, adopting an oily look and getting rid of the individual bubbles, small and big. In my mind it looks a bit like transparent lava in the mouth of a volcanic crater! I know, I have a weird brain!
See what you think!

Grass green is the most restful color.

I think I know what's happening. There's a third cormorant on a branch above these two, outside this frame. When youngsters fledge, they prefer to have their parents feed them for a long, long time. And so when mom and dad are tired of doing so, the youngster's begging is replied to with a polite, "Shove off!" Indignant, this youngster flew down to the river below and tried its hand at fishing. I'm sure it will get the hang of it pretty quick, and be raising its own youngsters next year.

I think this is an immature black-chinned hummingbird taking in some of the goodness from an ocotillo flower. Ocotillos are interesting plants. For a lot of the year they look like dead bundles of spiny sticks. This ocotillo was probably 10-15 feet (3-4m) tall, but they can grow up to 30 feet (10m) tall according to Wikipedia. After a rain the ocotillo leaf out with lush green foliage for a short while before they return to their leafless dead-looking state. In the springtime, they sport these lovely red flowers that attract the likes of this hummingbird. Note all the pollen on the bird's face.

When you think of Texas you think cowboys and cattle. But, the Lone Star state has some Texas size alligators as well at Brazos Bend State Park🐊🐊🐊
Keep a safe distance and keep the doggies on a leash to have a good time viewing these massive wild reptiles.
When visiting south Texas take care as alligators do thrive in country areas. We have a couple living in the lake by our house. Our neighbors had a massive one in their pond that had to be removed for obvious reasons.
Some people think Wood Storks are ugly. They resent how they move into the rookery and usurp the tree islands, crowding out the Great Blues and Anhinga who had settled in prior to this pushy intrusion. And that noisy sex that goes on all the time, that clashing of bills drawing attention to what, I should think we would all agree, be done in private, or at least in the darkness of night. Well, I for one am deeply offended. Yet, when I look at this bird, I can’t help but seeing its inner beauty. Yes, I’m a closet Wood Stork lover. There should be help for folk like me, but to hell I say, I’m coming out of the closet and will embrace my affliction without shame! (And, let me just add, this is no laughing matter.) The cows in the pasture were the only spectators. Although the photo was taken in Germany, you might think that it could have been photographed in the UK.
I don't think anyone is a fan of April scenery, but sometimes you just have to get out of the house. Turned on the scanner before sunrise to hear “RRRedzone!- brakey man”. This gave me some motivation that 47 hadn't left yet and had the good reg crew. A little one and done North of Shelly, ID before the sun rose above the cloud line and a familiar greeting by the engineer starts a day off right!
I think I understand the saying about water being our life blood, but if it is true anywhere, it is truest in a place like the arid sandstone of Lake Powell.
Kane Creek Canyon, Lake Powell.

You'd think that the little Eastern Screech Owl was posing for me, six feet away with the big lens, but no, he was ignoring me completely, watching mosquitos, butterflies, crows and a turkey vulture flying around and over.
Screech Owls are amongst the smallest owls that are regularly seen here in North Carolina - about the size of a Robin.
This is a gray morph unreleasable rescued owl, from the American Wildlife Refuge here in the Triangle of North Carolina.
This little nuthatch called out to me from its perch as I passed by. I think he wanted a handout because he seemed quite upset that I snapped his portrait without giving him something!
The great egret, also known as the common egret, large egret, or great white egret or great white heron is a large, widely distributed egret, with four subspecies found in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and southern Europe. Wikipedia
I could not think of a title for this photograph, so that's the title of this shot of me with my fiancée at the Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia, at sunset.
Once in your life, if you are lucky, you will see a sunrise or sunset that you know will never be surpassed, and you will be aware of this even as you are watching. Neither words nor photographs can express how profound and moving this sunset really was.
For more information on this incredible place please see my prior photo, 'Salar de Illusion'.
