I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands sayin how do you do
But they're really saying I love you.
I hear babies cry, and I watched them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself what a wonderful world.

*using my own pose... :)
I think very big animals are complicate in photography composition.
I got this giraffe (girafa camelopardilis angolensis) in a grassland with the Etosha saltpan in the background.
It makes the photo a bit different to me and the animal pose helped the composition too.

I think this sly little devil was trying to hypnotize me so he could sneak into my cabin and go through my duffle bag again.
I think most of us could use some colour right about now, as it's winter in a large part of the world.
Taken with 100mm macro lens and Kenko extension tubes to get closer.
I wonder what the builders of this medieval gate from the 13th century would think if they saw it today. A tram running right through it, graffiti smeared on it and strange metal machines parked inside. Would they turn in their graves or enjoy the integration into modernity?

Remembering our time in sunny Arizona last spring. This Blue-gray Gnatcatcher posed perfectly among the flower blossoms.
If you think foxes don't belong in the city, just remember we destroyed their habitat to build our own.

"I think I'm going back
to the thing I learned so well in my youth.
I think I'm returning to
all those days when I was young enough to know the truth.
Now there are no games to only pass the time.
No more electric trains, no more trees to climb.
Thinking young and growing older is no sin
and I can play the game of life to win.
I can recall the time when
I wasn't ashamed to reach out to a friend.
And now I think I've got a lot more than
just my toys to lend.
Now there's more to do than watch my sailboat glide
and everyday can be my magic paradise.
I can play hide and seek with my fears
and live my days instead of counting my years.
Let everyone debate the true reality
I'd rather see my world the way it used to be.
A little bit of courage is all we lack,
so catch me if you can 'cause I'm going back.
I'm going back,
not just sitting, walking away.
Yes, I'm going back.
Going back to my youth.
Come on, catch me 'cause I'm going back,
I'm going back..."
When opened in 1890, the Forth Rail Bridge was the longest Cantilever bridge in the world.
Officially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it's span has only been succeeded by the Quebec Bridge in Canada, and to this day remains the second longest.
It's incredible to think that the bridge was constructed before the age of powered flight.
I'm sure many would be sitting on a bench here and think along with 'The Thinker'
For me it's a paradise with all that nature all around...
well decorated and thought over, by Una & Bo.
An amazing sim to explore ..... and be sure.....
every time you go back... you discover new hidden corners.
Some History:
Rodin's The Thinker was originally part of The Gates of Hell which was completed on commission in 1882. What became known as The Thinker was originally intended to represent the poet Dante as he contemplated writing The Divine Comedy, on which The Gates of Hell was based.

I think the word "Alone" has been touched on over and over in this series of photos, however it needs it's own space because it may be the hardest of all the pills to swallow. It's one thing to go through a situation where you've lost everything, but to go through it by yourself is by far the worst feeling in the world. Often times what separates those who make it back on their feet, to those who never recover, is one simple thing. Support.
We're all different people, and everyone who falls has their own reasons for falling. One thing we all have in common though is that any single one of our individual falls can be broken up by another person choosing to get involved. What hurts more than anything in the world is falling, and seeing everyone you ever considered a friend just watching. No one offering to help, no one trying to prevent or even slow your decent, just watching, pitying, and coldly turning the other cheek. There's no feeling lonelier in the world than knowing in your time of need, when it's finally YOU who needs help, that everyone, even the ones you helped at points when you stood tall and they needed a hand, will just let you fall.
If you know someone who is struggling, no matter what that struggle is, let them know you see them. If you care about them, let them know. You might be the reason they recover, you might be all they needed, but you'll never know unless you try.

Our sunflowers have a secret life, says Linus. They leave their vase in the middle of the night and walk around the house. If they don't manage to get back into their vase in time they end up somewhere on the floor. Isn't it great if the cat of the house finds the poor sunflower and makes sure that the human puts it back into the water before it's too late ? And doesn't the cat deserve a treat for being a good friend for the sunflowers ? Two treats would be okay too. Or three ?
The human would tell a somewhat different story as you can probably imagine. This may have to do with the photo in the comments. Linus isn't as clever as he thinks he is. Or the human isn't as stupid as Linus thinks she is.
