Someone drew on my hand at a show the other night. I think it is supposed to be a flower.
Not terribly manly, but better than a handstamp.
Kinchbus Optare Excel 234 (X234 WRA) was drafted in from Trent Barton to take over route 9 (Loughborough - Nottingham) after Premiere buses ceased trading on 25th January 2013.
At first, buses operated in overall red, but they've since had Kinchbus 9 vinyls added and a yellow patch put on the front.
Unfortunately, my plan to block the air vent from blowing on me at work was ineffective. Still, this is a funny picture of what my desk usually looks like.
My husband gave me a hand applying my Jungle print wallpaper to a half wall in the bathroom. I liked that it was a
fairly quick project and not so expensive for this small area that I can actually change it out when my mood changes.
Since the Spoonflower wallpaper is temporary, I didn't have that dread of having to look at a design for years.
I decided to go kind of funky and large scale.
My niece and I always are drawn to the Anthropologie looks...............and I thought this reminded me a bit of things we might see in that store.
With the overhead light on, the green has a grass green look and with the overhead light off, the background green is a little more muted and spring green.
I have several colorways of the Jungle series and it is also available as fabric.
I bought a pack of lunchmeat that had an Iron Man tattoo inside. This is what it looks like after five days and four showers. I had no idea temporary tattoo technology had so advanced since its crappy Cracker Jacks days. I may have to get an actual tattoo that says "I love temporary tattoos".

We planned to have just what we needed for the projects we would be working on over the next few weeks. The temporary lab looks great, and has space to move around.

Church Road, St Anne's on sea. I guess I can see the logic in what appears to be an over-reaction to some work on the pavement here - safe-guarding pedestrians but look further down on the same side! Some clown has parked right on the pavement thus the poor pedestrian will need to pass it on the road - no temporary lights safe-guarding them there !!!

I'm still working on my new pedalboard so I had to throw a makeshift rig together for last nights show.
The orange pedal is the Dr. Balls custom booster, my current fave.... dirty and nasty, perfect! The blue box is a Dr. Balls Klon Centaur clone, Fulltone OCD v1.4, Dr. Balls Aqua Puss clone. On top we have the Burriss Vib+ which powers the whole pedalboard as well as switches on and off the on board tremolo in the amp. Next to that is the Korg Pitchblack tuner.
Some of Holloway's 900 series TEs have been pinched recently as buses were needed to kick off the route 34 tender win at Potters Bar. As a result, some former First examples were plucked out of storage and sent to HT to make up the shortfall, being route bound to the 91, expected to be for around eight weeks. George and I had this one, TE1746, to Caledonian Road two Saturdays running, it evaded getting photographed last week but I managed a snap shot today, 6/12/14. This one spent it's first 5 years or so at Greenford, where it began life as First DN33606. Following the loss of route E1 and E3 many of this batch have been parked up pending being found new work, though this one did actually get some use at Greenford (and seemingly Hayes) during July and August.

While Park Oaks Elementary School was being built in 1959, a temporary "school" was held in a nearby cul de sac, Calle Lirio. This photo shows the interior and front door of 2340 Calle Lirio. The interior walls were left unfinished for use as a classroom.

The Reunion Inn is a new and rather extraordinary temporary public house. Set partly underneath some railway arches with some quite extensive temporary wooden structures - not least being the sauna. It also has a beautifully crafted kiddies paddling pool, a stand alone room for films and music and much more. Created by a non-profit collective called EXYZT (pronounced exist) its ambiance is completely different from a regular pub. The beers on sale were Fullers - London Pride, Tommy - by Head in a Hat Brewing, Florence – India Export Ale, plus some London Lager by Meantime (keg). It is possible it will close on Saturday 4 August, though they are seeking to take it beyond that date.

My 700d CR-18s are too worn to keep using (*sob*) so until I lace up one of the pairs of sl23s I've got lying around I'm going to be using these Stans ZTR355s. Which, sadly, are only temporary because there's a dent in the front DS rim wall from when I rammed a curb when dodging a jogger. I can still ride them (obviously), but there's a really annoying *thump-thump-thump* when I apply the front brake.
Maybe I'll take some metal-filled epoxy and fill that dent? It will grab differently than aluminum, but that will probably be less differently than air.

in a branchless forest populated with eager dialect, even/especially in these anxious times; these retired branches become crutches when congregated. and so like a bottle rocket flying right through our cutout hearts, let these words be everything we could ever want them to be, and these common fears a makeshift prosthesis to sedate our common phantom limbs.
(and when we can get our heavy hearts to love lightly, this house of cards will become a home.)
