Sometimes clients feel more comfortable meeting up for a drink - before we get down to business. Here, I am waiting for Lord Braine, Lord Chepstow, Lord Dockery and Lord Plumpton to show up for a date we had previously arranged via Sir Henry Cobham...
Their Lordships turned up a few minutes after this picture was taken. They whisked me off to Claridges for cocktails, dinner and then some very unusual after-dinner activities - in Lord Plumpton's private suite. Later in the evening Lord Harlesden, Lord Rickmansworth and Lord Somerset also joined the party - so I had a total of Seven Lords A-Leaping, until well into the small hours! None of these gentlemen are exactly teenagers - and I think I rather wore them out!!!

Sometimes fellow walkers put themselves in exactly the right place.
Pike O'Stickle and stone axe factory in the distance.
Sometimes I try to imagine what it must be like to be a creature like this. Consider the differences in scale that you an I experience in the world that this little wonder contends with. Think about how the world must look through those odd compound eyes. What does it feel like to fly with wings like those?
Speculation aside, I find that these creatures are wonderful, even when they sting you.
‘Scene’ on a PSV Circle Organised Visit

The PSV Circle (of which I have been a member for some years) aims to hold an Annual General Meeting in a different location in the UK every year.
Usually held at a weekend, they also include visits to operators and other bus related venues for the attending members to visit and enjoy.
This year, the location being in the North West of England centred on the Holiday Inn Express, Preston.
Friend Peter Rose joined me for what turned out to be a sometimes wet, but very enjoyable weekend.
As we have done before, we have combined all the images we have gathered.

‘Preston Bus’, which has a history going back to 1904, became part of the ‘ROTALA’ group in 2011.
New to ‘First Manchester’ where it carried the same fleet number.
The lack of any titling or branding could indicate that it has been withdrawn and awaiting diposal.

Sometimes you get lucky. While shooting this storm near Cheyenne Wyoming and chasing barns - I drove down a road but the distance only had new houses on horizon... but suddenly this sign appeared.
Some say great timing - I say lucky but knew right away I had to capture the moment.

.. This photo was so DARK I really had to reach down into the shadows to bring ANY detail out but it is field grass(cattle fodder) .. there's a tiny storage shack on the left rise (near horizon) a few trees and that's about it .. but the sunset is/was gorgeous .. why it pays to wait till AFTER the sun has gone completely down.
Sometimes the mood of the moment suits black and white and this was one such occasion. The light was very contained at sunset this evening, and I like the contrast, but wasn’t too keen on it in colour.
