Bursa.

Sometimes you set off before sunrise, travel five hours and when you get there it starts raining heavily. What a disappointment, :))

Sometimes , when traveling ,you can encounter all kind of unexpected beautiful images ....

- the moment freezes in it's tracks...

sometimes the heron also catches dragonflies!

Sometimes you;re on a beach looking for the picture that shows how big these rocks are,

And there they where ,I didn't think just shoot......and this is the shot!...And I still love this picture....

Colonnade (1916) at the museum - manor "Arkhangelskoe".

The monumental building of gray granite topped by a dome and is surrounded on two sides slender colonnade. It was to serve as a temple-tomb for the owners of the manor Yusupovs.

In the hall, which has excellent acoustics, sometimes arranged concerts of early music.

Never used for its intended purpose building in 1966, it was restored and converted into a branch of the museum. The main part of the exhibition is an exhibition of ceramics from the museum, where most of the things for the first time exposed to a broad review.

An impressionist abstract that won't make a load of Monet....

Sometimes I wish I could live by the river...

It happens sometimes, that I don't see in the drawings of the sequence of the folding steps, what a designer means. It took me a while before I saw that this Hippopotamus had his mouth width open ;-)

Sometimes it just turns out that way...

-- The Mamas and Papas

[That was the title, no? It's been a long time...]

Taken in our garden during the summer of 2019.

The peony is a flowering plant in the genus Paeonia, the only genus in the family Paeoniaceae. They are native to Asia, Southern Europe and Western North America. Boundaries between species are not clear and estimates of the number of species range from 25 to 40.

Most are herbaceous perennial plants 0.5–1.5 metres (1.6–4.9 ft) tall, but some resemble trees 1.5–3 metres (4.9–9.8 ft) tall. They have compound, deeply lobed leaves and large, often fragrant, flowers, ranging from red to white or yellow, in late spring and early summer.

The peony is named after Paeon (also spelled Paean), a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. Asclepius became jealous of his pupil; Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.

The family name "Paeoniaceae" was first used by Friedrich K.L. Rudolphi in 1830, following a suggestion by Friedrich Gottlieb Bartling that same year. The family had been given other names a few years earlier. The composition of the family has varied, but it has always consisted of Paeonia and one or more genera that are now placed in Ranunculales. It has been widely believed that Paeonia is closest to Glaucidium, and this idea has been followed in some recent works. Molecular phylogenetic studies, however, have demonstrated conclusively that Glaucidium belongs in Ranunculaceae, but that Paeonia belongs in the unrelated order Saxifragales.

Peonies can be classified by both plant growth habit and flower type. Plant growth types are Herbaceous (nonwoody), Tree (shrub), and Itoh (or "Intersectional"), which is intermediate between herbaceous and tree forms. In winter herbaceous peonies die back to their underground parts, whereas tree peonies lose their leaves but retain viable woody stems above ground. The Itoh hybrids are intermediate between herbaceous and tree forms. They are named after Toichi Itoh, who first produced a successful intersectional hybrid in 1948.

The following sequence of flower types becomes more complex in its arrangement of petals. The flower types include Single (e.g., Athena, Scarlet O’Hara), Japanese (Nippon Beauty, Madame Butterfly), Anemone, Semi-Double (Paula Fay, Buckeye Belle), Double (Gardenia, Paul M. Wild) and Bomb-Double (Raspberry Sundae, Mons Jules Elie).

Sometimes you just have to take a moment to relax, breath, find a beautiful spot and not think.

Sometimes it feels like at the end of the road you're going to run into a wall.

Almost every time you will realise that there's a bend or a tunnel to prevent you from smashing your head.

But you have to go on, to figure that out.

Sometimes folks you just get lucky, have a great and safe day everyone.

Thank you for stopping by and for all the kind words, always very much appreciated.

Sometimes the notion of having wings and just being able to soar far above all of life's problems seems like an incredible escape. Birdie and I went for a walk this evening, and he seemed very happy to be carried along, never once flying off. We are good friends, and he said he didn't want to leave me down here by myself with my feet firmly planted on pixel earth, so he quietly kept me company in the comforting way that only our furry and feathered friends can. And my spirit soared, and my mood brightened as a result. ♥

Sometimes birds can hide a leg when raised but I see no indication of the raised leg. Bird seemed very healthy. :-)

Sometimes decay properties are so quiet as to be overlooked. Slowly they disappear. A group of old homes near a bridge are in plain sight but no one seems to see them. Old Chain link fence is almost a curtain covered in spidery twigs. Old farm equipment and household items dot the spongy uneven ground.

Sometimes we see the reflection but forget to look at where the image is coming from.
