Sometimes pieces go missing - but sometimes they're also found :) #Repost by @nagerna : I love when missing parts are found and an object is to be completed. For 4-5 Months ago this skull on the black plinth was cleaned together with many others by conservator @annika.nor and me. Today I'm photodocumenting the bones object and among these also this skull. During the documentation I'm looking at the objects again to see if there is something that is overlooked. I noted that the upper part at some time were glued due to residual adhesive. So I decided to look for the missing piece in @medicalmuseion collectionstorages. Quite right I found the missing piece among many objects. Now I'm cleaning the piece and finally the piece is to be glued to the corresponding part, so the object is complete. Note how dirty the piece is. This skull has been used for eductional purposes and show signs of deterioration of the bone due to disease (thinning of the bone on the right side). Atrofia Senil.
