Old houses always have vibes. This one was particularly interesting. It is maintained beautifully, but has some rather strange vibes coming off of it is in an area that could be very busy. It brings nothing to the area because it’s been closed for quite some time.. i’ve always thought when I see really interesting properties if walls could talk, what would they say? This house didn’t seem to be able to share. No one seems to know the story of the closures of every business that has tried to survive in this historic building. The only comments I obtained from a couple of locals is that the place is haunted and very creepy.. one lady shared a worker has been coming and going doing some restoration and his constant companion, a small, mixed breed dog stops, staring at the door, and refuses to go in even though her owner is in there. That is a curious thing. As the little dog is quite adventurous per the lady, and always accompanies him on all jobs . hmmm
Sometimes you just have to embrace the moment, rather then will to hurry up and get out of the shot.

But to be honest, after all the excitement of the day before, this was as much action as we needed.
Sometimes moments in life feel just right and you can only see clearly through your mind and not your eyes.
Fairly small rail; short yellow bill, black face, and gray neck distinctive. Found in marshes with grasses or reeds; generally shy but often seen foraging at the edge of shallow water. Buffy juvenile often mistaken for much more secretive Yellow Rail; note different back pattern and the fact that if you see the bird well enough to actually note the back pattern, it is probably not a Yellow Rail. Common call is a descending high-pitched whinny; also gives a whistled "per-WEE" call somewhat like spring peeper but clearer and consistently two parted. (eBird)
We were hoping to at least hear the Yellow Rail that is sometimes found in this location. No Yellow Rail, but we were delighted to see this Sora come out into the open.

It's kind of funny I almost always post something different then what I had planned. But I know it's no surprise I have a special affinity towards flowers. They are so much fun to shoot because they have so many interesting details for us macro shooters, lovely colours and even patterns. They are a gift of creation and a miracle. That doesn't mean I'm only going to post pretty flowers. ;-)

No Choices..Better to let it go, even if your heart is bleeding & your bones are burning
Sometimes there is only bokeh and no subject. I keep these odd findings in a special folder. Today's theme for the group Looking close on Friday inspired me to share.
Sometimes I wonder about the rhythm of nature. When I see this Autumn coloured forest, there appears to be multiple patterns to capture. I can even conjure up the notion that as a photographer I am somehow responsible for the result.
However, it is more often finding order in the chaos. Next year around this time, I expect the same trees will colour up in a similar fashion and the rhythm of nature will continue on its never ending path.
Sometimes bygone springs, full of warmth and scents, blossom yet again inside us. And we carry them through the winter, protecting them with our chests. Then, one day, those bygone springs begin protecting our chests from the frost when we find ourselves on the other side of the window, where winter is not just a picture. It is now the ninth winter that I have had such a spring inside me, and it is still keeping me warm. Imagine, in this winter, two such springs touching like the scents of two meadows. That is what we need instead of overcoats. . .
