I've gone over to the light side! (Olympus OM-1 mirrorless camera and so-much-smaller lenses 😍) [only 3 months after I ordered them, and the week after my nature holiday!]
My next bunch of supermarket tulips are also on their way out and there may be a little series coming.

in a courtroom, you are questioned by others.
lawyers, a judge, a jury.
but the most difficult trial takes place
in the quiet moment before a mirror.
there, you are the witness, the prosecutor,
and the accused, all at once.
the evidence is your own reflection.
the gaze is steady, unflinching.
and the truth, for a brief moment,
is impossible to avoid.
Having a pond in the garden has been the best decision ever. I've been amazed just how quickly life comes to even a small amount of water. I feel as if I have my own private nature reserve! This tiny, beautiful creature is a Blue-tailed damselfly (a female, I think). Not easy to capture with a heavy 135mm lens. :)
I wish all my Flickr Friends & Followers a happy new year. Thank you for this great year and your fantastic support. I´m glad to be here :)
May the light be with you!

Electric Guitar Volume and Tone Controls.
The basic function of the volume knob is to change the level of guitar’s volume output in a smooth and even way. The volume knob can help the player conjure a variety of tonal characteristics that can come in handy provided he play with dynamics.

This is one of three perfume bottles I bought at the Khan Al-Khalili (or Khan El-Khalili) in Cairo - one of the biggest souks or bazaars I've ever been to. Everywhere you turned there were shops and stalls selling absolutely everything - all the colours and smells were dazzling. And many traders offered tea while you contemplated your potential purchase.

This is one of my last remaining cosmos. I probably should have removed the flower behind before taking the photo because I couldn't manage it after.

It is April 1, otherwise known as April Fools Day and here in Owen Sound, Ontario we woke up to fresh snow! This image is just to cheer us up and think on pussywillows and springtime!

I'm pleased to say these little wild violets have come up in the garden again this year. My husband is not so pleased but knows better than to try to get rid of them ;)

I've been away for a few days and returned today to find a couple of my peonies are almost out. I've called it 'almost' as a little nod to my grandson who whenever he is asked to do something says 'almost'. It's so sweet, I love the way children come up with their own unique way of saying things as their language develops.
I also love how ants help to protect peonies from harmful insects while they gather nectar.

It rained and rained for the entire Onomichi visit on this Japanese adventure. (So no neko photos for me!) But at least I got to meet one of my favourite Flickr friends there. Thanks for meeting, K-san! I always enjoy your photos and comments on Flickr and it was so much fun to meet for sanpo and snacks. Onomochi, Hiroshima-ken, Japan. November 25, 2015.
