Another one from my latest visit to Sussex Prairie Garden. I wish I could tell you what this flower is, but I'm afraid I don't know. It's very delicate and pretty, though.
Rudbeckia (a.k.a. Black-eyed Susan) is now in full bloom at Sussex Prairie Garden and looking gorgeous. It shares this particular area with pink and white Echinacea providing a feast for the eyes ... not to mention the bees. :)
Photographed while exploring with Charlie-san, Fukuda-san, Fumi-san, Maeda-san, Miki-san, sonnar-san, Take-san, and Teruhide-san. Pontocho, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto. May 28, 2017.
Suan Luang Rama IX, also referred to as (King) Rama IX Park, is a public park in Bangkok's Prawet District. With an area of 500 rai (80 ha; 200 acres), it is the largest park in the city.
The park was built to celebrate King Bhumibol Adulyadej's sixtieth birthday in 1987, and was opened by the King on 1 December that year. It features extensive botanical gardens, a lake, and a pavilion housing exhibits in honour of the King.
Early evening in the garden. I love Helenium, but this year I'm discovering why its common name is Sneezeweed. :)
The hydrangea were in full bloom alongside a canal in Huisten Bosch, a theme park modelled after the Netherlands in Sasebo, Nagasaki prefecture, Southern Japan. Happy weekend, everyone.

Recent rains had caused a profusion of wildflowers around my house. It was a good enough reason to mount my Dukane projector lens and go outside instead of sitting in front of the computer looking at other people's pictures.
The forecast for yesterday afternoon said there would be a 'moderate' breeze. In flower photography terms, a 'moderate' breeze is a howling gale! I still enjoyed my visit to Sussex Prairie Garden, though. :)
October 2023: A month in 31 pictures
We still have our grandson with us so getting a photo isn't easy. I held this cyclamen in front of some organza then added some textures. It's rather pink but I like pink and his Lordship approved ;)

This is another of my new dahlias this year. It's called Night Silence and is another favourite for photography.

My garden is currently a soggy mess after the recent storms and heavy rain, so I struggled to find anything I wanted to bring into my house! In the end I gave in and visited a local florist, where I found a spray of tiny roses and this is one of them. It's barely ¾" across and I love the colour. I look forward to the day I can photograph flowers where they belong ... outdoors. :)

The weather was beautiful when I took this shot a few days ago at Borde Hill. Today it's grey, wet and uninspiring!

I found this perfume bottle in a local charity shop on Friday and instantly fell in love with it. OK, I admit it wasn't the only thing I bought. My collection of bits and pieces continues to grow. The wonderful thing is that if I ever tire of it I can just give it back to the charity shop so that they can sell it again for someone else to enjoy. I think this particular one may stay with me for a while, though. It's such a fabulous colour.
