Brandenburg gate in the background - Potsdam - Germany

The rooster is a statue in front of a restaurant

As forest was fading into night this leaf was still nicely lit, hiding on the messy forest floor. I don't mind some messy scenes, no gardeners there. :)

Garden Camas from my garden

New post on my blog

Snug Cove, Bowen Island, BC. September 4, 2020.

Although my dahlias are all finished now, I still have a few more images. Here's one of Cafe au Lait.

Lensbaby Double Glass II and macro filters.

I was lucky enough to be gifted some beautiful linen napkins and a vintage table cloth this week. I don't know the story behind them but they have obviously been in storage for some time as they came complete with shed spider skins and other bits and bobs. After a good wash and iron the napkins turned out beautifully. I thought I'd go for a festive look as it's December. It was rather a coincidence that the Looking Close on Friday theme this week is napkins. HLCoF

Lensbaby Double Glass II. My latest Lensbaby thanks to the Black Friday discount.

Leider war es mir heuer noch nicht vergönnt, einen Fliegenpilz zu finden. Daher hier noch ein Exemplar vom letzten Jahr.

October 2023: A month in 31 pictures

A walk around the walled garden at Felbrigg where we found lots of fading beauties.

Lensbaby Sol 45 with macro filter. In case you're not familiar with the Sol 45, it has two adjustable blades in front of the lens. The blades give the pattern and more blur. I've had the Sol for a while but only recently realised how much I love using it.

#53 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby

I've been away for a few days and returned today to find a couple of my peonies are almost out. I've called it 'almost' as a little nod to my grandson who whenever he is asked to do something says 'almost'. It's so sweet, I love the way children come up with their own unique way of saying things as their language develops.

I also love how ants help to protect peonies from harmful insects while they gather nectar.

I've gone over to the light side! (Olympus OM-1 mirrorless camera and so-much-smaller lenses 😍) [only 3 months after I ordered them, and the week after my nature holiday!]
