For this double exposure of a (past its best) rose, I wrapped a similarly coloured scarf round it. Took one exposure soft and the other in focus. The seahorse in question is the Omni seahorse crystal.

Day 83/365:
Out in the garden for today's photo. A double exposure of muscari.
Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Omni filters. Textures added (my own).
Macro Mondays - theme: Spiky
tiny Lace Aloe (Aristaloe aristata), a succulent plant, taken with the manual Laowa 60mm ultra macro lens
width of this image: about 3 cm (at max); those leaves are about 1 - 1.2 cm wide
Happy Macro Mondays, everyone !
I read a lot with an e-reader nowadays, because it's kind of a huge library you can carry easily in your pocket ...
But I still enjoy reading, smelling and touching 'real' books like the one the e-reader is lying on :))
Crazy Tuesday - theme of September 8, 2020: Old & New
... my maybe somewhat crazy way to meet the topic - but I just wanted to experiment a bit with shallow depth of field and light ... and it's Crazy Tuesday after all ; ))
Have a great Tuesday evening, everyone !!

Day 186/365:
Can you see the little rosebud tucked behind the rose? I'm pretty sure it believes it will become a beautiful flower too.
I made a big mistake today, I thought I'd be okay to take my camera into the garden to get a photo. I managed a photo but my back is telling me I shouldn't have :( We never learn do we?

Happy Mother’s Day ... especially to my mom ... thank you .... ♡ ...
and HMBT - Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday
During a wander around a local wood, on a misty moody morning, I came across this facade of a small house nestled into the root of this tree. It raises the question “who lives in a place like this?” Well, obviously from the sign on the door, Penny.
Happiness is a light, an atmosphere, an illumination.
~ Elizabeth Bibesco
I discovered this atmospheric and captivating flowery illumination in a shop window (ready for pre-Christmas season) and was fascinated ... glad I took my camera with me that day and I had fun doing some experimental photos ...

... Lichtwellen ...

Some of the snowdrops are starting to fade so I thought I'd better make the most of them while they last. Another use for my recently acquired heart too, placed on a child's chair that I've had for a while but not got round to using before.
Day 31/365:
Macro Monday - Currency
I wasn't going to participate in MM today until I remembered my grandson's wooden cash register. I used Lensbaby Omni wands with my macro lens. I also added a texture. HMM
I love it when the daffodils start to appear in the supermarkets in January. We don't have them in flower yet but I did see some last week in a sunny, sheltered spot!
Thanks for all the lovely comments and faves on my images and I hope you have a good weekend.
91/100: 100 x challenge - Flowers
100 Flowers 2020
This is a nine image multiple exposure. I've never done that many before but I'm quite pleased with the results. I feel it needs a bit more polish but my editing skills are limited...any suggestions gratefully received.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
Back later to catch up with some commenting, just off for a walk.
4/31: October 2020: A month in 31 pictures
An in camera multiple exposure of two hydrangea shots and one dahlia. Taken in the rain. I guess this could unintentionally fall into the category of lots...as in multiple exposures.
Adjustments in Lightroom then in PS to soften and change the hue. HSS
Another one that I will keep as a reserve for my flower challenges...just in case.

Can there ever be too many? Not in my opinion. This is another shot from my recent visit to the beautiful gardens at Borde Hill.
Day 89/365:
In camera three image multiple exposure with a pink bokeh texture overlay (my own).
Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Omni filters
Sorry, once again I am behind with commenting, I will try to catch up asap.
After gaining this horse's trust, I managed to get in a bit closer for some details.
I really like the composition and eye detail in this shot. No crop here, just up close and personal!

Plants within genus Magnolia produce some of the most stunning floral displays on the planet. Elegant, graceful, so very beautiful.
I came across this breathtaking small tree on a neighbourhood walk last spring and stood enjoying its beauty for a long while. It truly was enchanting.
Named for the French botanist Pierre Magnol (1638-1715). Fossils from the Cretaceous period (145-66 million years ago) have been discovered - so these plants are considered some of the first flowering plants on Earth.

I'm just in something similar to a lazy siesta – maybe I'll wake up slowly now ;-) ... And notice that I have a lot of catching up to do, that there is so much to see ... I have to take a bit more time and take it easy ... I'm really looking forward to it. See you my friends :-)))
To heck with sidelight in yesterday’s effort. I headed out into the silence and fog to capture the seeds on the milkweed pods.
A bird landed on my hat! While kneeling and bending quietly to capture these wee seeds, a bird landed on my hat. I don't know whether the finch or sparrow felt more surprised.
A joyful moment!
This is a single rose in my garden, I used Lensbaby Velvet 56 and the Omni seahorse crystal which creates the effect of more flowers. The background bokeh is also the effect of more flowers. Photos has some new presets and I used one to create the mono conversion.
This is the first time I have had time to pick up my camera for a couple of weeks. It was good to have a play. HMBT
