Spring is such a lovely time of year. After the dark months of Winter the bright colours are so welcome. I love daisies in all their forms, from the humble flowers in the grass to these beautiful Osteospermum.
For this week's Looking Close... on Friday! group theme, Flower Buds.

This morning between rain and wind, an evergreen tip. The news ...

Day 216/365:
The Sweet 35 is (was) not my favourite of the Lensbaby lenses. Today I realised why. I was trying to use it for images that I thought it should be used for instead of sticking to my style or thinking outside the box. So here we have a double exposure. First exposure is of the berberis bush and the second is of the roses...both in my garden. A bit of faffing and a texture added and I'm quite pleased. May start to use the Sweet 35 a bit more now.
It is the 3rd weekend that it is raining, I feel like I am in England. So I decided to go along with the weather and instead of landscape photography, shoot my twin beetles!
I came across this little succulent and had to have it...I just loved the little shoot hanging down and knew just what I had to do with it. The little cage is hanging from my washing line.
I bought a Helios lens a few months ago but haven't used it much so decided to have a play today. HMBT
It's a little bit abstract and colourful, but so is life sometimes. And where is Elvis anyway...
Edge of Reality - Elvis Presley:

The edge is from the interior of some electrical gadget - cooling fins or whatever they're called. Even hardware can be attractive. And Elvis is always attractive!
Day 57/365:
Alternative title - Desperation
We had our grandson over for the day and when he left the light was all but gone so a rather strange still life macro. My little vintage pastry tin with vintage cotton reels. A sort of sewing bee meets bake off.
Day 85/365:
Smile on Saturday - Numbers
A late entry after a busy day. Numbers from my craft stash. HSoS

#98 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby
I made this little boat some time ago and kept it as a prop...you just never know when these things will come in handy. :)
The boat is placed on some tulle with fairy lights behind then blended with an ICM image. HCT

Nothoscordum bivalve
Also called False Garlic. Nasty names for such a pretty flower.
Riverpark Trail is a wild area along the right bank of the Brazos River, separated from residential development by a levee. Major birding hotspot in the area, so I hear.
15/30: April 2021: A month in 30 pictures
Yesterday's violets in an eggshell on white muslin. I always like to get more than one use from a prop, especially flowers. They wilted slightly as I didn't put water in the eggshell at first.
#99 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby
My grandson bought me these roses a couple of weeks ago...or at least he said to my husband "We should buy Nanny some flowers" I still think they are beautiful even when past their best and I couldn't possibly throw them out before getting a photo. I am drying them now so I hope they retain their colour.
I haven't had any spare time for photography and Flickr lately but need to finish my 100 x challenge...one more to go now.
I will try to get back a little later to catch up on your latest photos. I do miss seeing them all. Maybe in the New Year I will find a bit more time...and some inspiration.

We´re back from Scotland and I will need some time until i got through all pictures. In the meantime you will get some belated spring impressions :)

90/100: 100 x challenge - Flowers
100 Flowers 2020
I took this one back in the summer but didn't get round to posting it. I have one or two reserves for the flower challenges.
Still having a little time off from Flickr to recharge my batteries and attempt to find my missing mojo.
Day 163/365:

92/100: 100 x challenge - Flowers
100 Flowers 2020
Looking back at flower shots I had reserved for my flower challenges. I didn't post this one before because there is so little in focus, it's a Lensbaby shot. I really like it though and I'm getting concerned about not finishing the challenges so here it is. Summer does indeed seem a bit of a blur now winter is here.
Day 18/365:
I'd like to say I made this but my husband enjoys making bread so this is his offering for the day. Since I had no other inspiration today I took this shot with my phone.
Day 101/365:
April 2022: A month in 30 pictures
A quick just in case shot today and I didn't have time for anything else. Since it's day 101 I focussed on that
Those 'off-the-shelf' waffles with chocolate coating were the only biscuits / cookies left after the holidays since my hubby does have a bit of a sweet tooth and treats do not last long with us : ))
And I even had to fight for them to take some photos, lol
Crazy Tuesday - theme of January 4, 2022: Biscuits and Crackers
(I will catch up in the evening)
Hello There!
Macro Mondays is a weekly theme-based challenge group. This week's mission: PUZZLE
Interestingly enough, this challenge came while I've been working on the last puzzle of my book! I used a 36mm extension tube along with my macro lens.
Happy Macro Mondays! HMM!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do appreciate hearing from you! Have a wonderful day and week ahead!

There felt something a little dreamlike about this shot...perhaps because it seemed unreal I'd finally managed to capture one of these little skippers at all. They have been so much more flighty than their large cousins!
Day 99/365:
April 2022: A month in 30 pictures
A really busy day today and I was getting desperate for photo ideas. I grabbed this vase, put it in front of the window and after a few rubbish shots decided to try a multiple exposure.
Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Omni filter then added textures.
Day 69/365:
Definitely Dreaming - Hands
My little star helping me out today. Hands aren't in focus but focus isn't everything, right?
Are delicate wee flowers that cover the ground in late spring or early summer. Bonus is that they are known to attract bees.
Thank you for stopping by and for leaving me a comment, much appreciated! Have a great day!

I would like to dance so lively at a party with friends right now – but I have my roses to imagine and so I dance a little at home ;-)

So lebhaft würde ich jetzt gern auf einer Party mit Freunden tanzen – aber ich habe ja meine Rosen, um es mir vorzustellen und so tanze ich zu Hause ein wenig ;-)

the secrets of my garden:
When on our holidays in Findochty last year i went a walk past the old bakery on my way to the harbour. The Sun was going down and there was some very nice light ....i saw the Clover was catching the light as was the old bakery so i got down low to use the Clover as my foreground interest with the bakery in the background

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments on this little caterpillar yesterday.
Here's a more traditional view too, just because it really was amazingly beautiful in an ugly kind of way!
I don't know if any of my more knowledgeable Flickr friends could confirm if it's a six spot burnet caterpillar from this clearer view?
