Behind closed doors, people were getting into costumes and blackface. A dozen teen boys ran up to me and started yelling "I LOVE YOU". Seats were numbered with rooftops already filling up for tonight's festivities.

Setup used for the "Smoke D" series, with Sigma EF-500 DG Super used in slave mode with a Cactus wireless trigger.
The little desk lamp was only used to get some contrast while focusing.
I took this picture with a Canon A540, and the flash was triggered by the camera's own little flash!

Excuse the mess, we were doing a pre setup before an upcoming show to get a general idea of how things are gonna flow. we like this setup a lot, we are able to put more product out
Portable setup for audio field recording with A/B stereo and XY stereo. The flash arms allow easy adjustment of the distance and position of the omni mics (LOM mikroUši Pro). The XY microphones can be used for a slightly more directed recording or omitted to save weight. Positioning the two omnis very close together and close to the sound source gives a "sonic microscope" effect. The flash bracket is ARCA Swiss compatible, so I can use it with a mini tripod as a handle or on a full size tripod. To be used for making recordings of Unnatural Language (www.michaelang.com/project/unnatural-language) at Dinacon in the jungle in Panama. Inspiration from Colin Hunter and Chris Watson.
You can see the backer material just above the IFB around the flue. This will be a problem when I want to raku in this kiln as small crumblies might fall in and on pieces. Also the lid is very cumbersom to open and will have to be rigged for pulling pots.
This was a quick, 'point & shoot' setup. I mounted the camera on the bottom of the tripod, threw some christmas lights in the background, focused and shot. I only had space for 2 shots on my memory card, so it was gamble that either of the two shots would end up as keepers.
