Shot with my phone, sorry. This is the setup for Pair.
I have a CTO-gelled flash in the foreground, adorned with a cardboard snoot manufactured for the occasion. The camera is to the right, with a 300mm lens, and the flowers are sitting on the table to the left. In the background is the other flash, greened. The camera was color-balanced for tungsten. I triggered the camera from my laptop so I could see full-res results for every shot.
The snooted flash is at full power and the greened flash is at 1/4, but I still couldn't get enough light. The snoot, especially, cuts most of the light. Then I had one of those "Oh, duh" moments. I turned off the overhead lights, left the shutter open for 30 seconds, and triggered the flashes 3 times.
A bit of sensor noise, due to the long exposure, was mostly removed in Gimp.

This is the setup shot for this shot. One SB-24 angled up high with an 8" snoot shooting down on the subject who was where my daughter's colorful stick is modeling. Camera was on the tripod shooting into the black velvet background. Note the confined flash beam hitting the closet door to eliminate most spill light bouncing around and back onto the subject. I high jacked my daughter's room to shoot this.

This is a setup shot for my glass-bottom product setup.
I didn't have two softboxes handy so I'm using one softbox and a shoot-through umbrella, with a black disc on top to block ceiling reflections. Using a black fleece blanket on a boom in the background.
Nice 2b setup in oil. Price dipped below the previous low setting up the countertrend long. First target was met after this chart was posted and a lot more! Price reached almost 64 before the pit close

Ambient was a ceiling light above and mid-day light coming thru the windows. It was raining outside but I shot when the sun was out.
Another really simple lighting setup. One 430EX ii on 1/8 power was shot into the 24" softbox about 7' high and 4' away. Triggered using PW Flex TT5s.

This is my setup for the "Don't hate me" photo. It was shot by another brother using his P&S camera. Other than my camera body, tripod, lens, & hot shoe flash, all the other parts were scrounged from around the house. The bay windows and overhead lights had no significant effect on the finished portrait.
