This is the setup shot for my recent smoke shots. I fear I lied to you all .... the snoots were made from dog food and dish washer tablet boxes, not cereal boxes as previously claimed ;-)!

I'll tag what's there.

Resulting shots:

Here and here

This is the setup for the cross section pictures of horned melon. It's a $15 diploma frame, which a friend suggested when I asked where I could go to buy some glass. I sandwiched the slice between the two bits of glass and then held it all in place using the clamps. Sunpak 383 set at 1/16th power, reflecting off the white foam board.

See the whole set here.

The correct way yo set up a desktop system, in particular, note the 'thinking juice' and the 'assistant' installed in handy locations.

Feb 2, 2021 - A cold and breezy night at CRO. First use of new ZWO toys and using old C90 as a guide scope.

NO LAPTOP!!

Wind-Wedge III deployed - wud've been quite unbearable without it.....

The setup to create the shadow wings for my "Fire Angel" photo. This is a fairly early setup photo -- there was a lot of tweaking as I went.

Ps. Les feuilles de papier devant les flashs son pas vraiment transparent , c'est pour voir les flash en arrière.

Dark picture of my new setup. I'm in love with this lcd.

Barista and Cimbali Jr

Everything ready for the first service.

Someone asked for a setup shot. I will tag the photo to show the placement but I can point them out. The lattice back chair on the right was for the cookies that do not show up. The cereal box snoot on the 430 lit the items on the coffee table. Camera was coffee table height placed where the mic stand with stuffed elephant middle of room. Model on the couch far left. Model and hand lit by foil snooted 580 ex at end of couch. Room darkened via iso 100 to hide the mess.

Preparing for a beach wedding.

One Striplight from top with additional diffuser

Final shots here

I'm building a motor drive cable for my pocket wizard to fire a EOS Rebel (XT(i)). The idea is to set it up high with a wide angle lens over a strobist event and key the camera to a shooting station's PW channel to automatically record setup shots for each shot.

Here is the superclamp + ball head setup being tested in my shop. This is gonna open up some cool possibilities at the next garage shoot.

(Side note: Can you believe this much noise is from shooting at ISO400? I'll never buy another camera with a Sony sensor in it again).
