Time once again to roll the clocks forward. People trend to grumble about losing an hour of sleep, but my body seems to adapt quickly to the spring clock change. I awaken earlier and feel more energized during the day. Everything seems to happen at a faster pace; the work day seems to fly by. Best of all is it generally marks the end of driving home in the dark. I figure my odds of striking a deer decrease dramatically. The time change always brings renewed calls for leaving the clocks set on a single time zone all year long. The problem with that is people want to lock in on standard time. Not me; I love having light in the sky until nearly 10 pm in the summer. I say if we do go to a single time zone, let's make it daylight saving time!
Stanley Johnson and others at Extinction Rebellion in Trafalgar Square yesterday. What a pity Stanley can't save us from Boris...
In a community centered around building things out of plastic bricks, one man will set out to do what nobody ever thought of doing before.
Meet Justin, a TFOL highly regarded for his building skills among many other things, who one day decides to break the commenting record on Flickr. Along the way, he befriends A Plastic Infinity, the insane dimensional traveling reality wizard who lives in a fictional purple castle filled with women. Together, the two will recruit many of their fellow TFOLs on their quest to break the comment record.
Witness the bravery as tens of people valiantly waste a month and a half of their lives commenting on a picture of an MLP plushie.
Become awestruck at the incredible building skills of the many LEGO enthusiasts involved with this project.
Grow to love the character of Lydia, Justin's made-up girlfriend that API gave to him for some reason, and become dumbfounded by the fact that they are getting married even though they're only teenagers.
Witness the treachery, as the villain is frequently revealed to be a different person.
And join in the fun, because nobody has any idea what the hell is going on.
Staring: Just about everybody in this dang community.

Serval
The serval /ˈsɜrvəl/ (Leptailurus serval) is a medium-sized African wild cat. DNA studies have shown that the serval is closely related to theAfrican golden cat and the caracal.
It is a strong yet slender animal, with long legs and a fairly short tail. Due to its leg length, it is relatively one of the tallest cats. The head is small in relation to the body, and the tall, oval ears are set close together.
The Serval hunts mostly at night, although it is specialized for hunting rodents, it is an opportunistic predator whose diet also includes birds, hares, hyraxes, reptiles, insects, fish, and frogs.
This is , for now, the last of our animal serie , maybe next year again? It has been a pleasure to show you all these beautiful animals. If you want to help saving world's wildlife, there are many choices to join a foundation or group.

Rework of a 5 year old Flickr picture. This is from the first posting:
Throughout the ages Earth has been spared destruction with help from a large eagle. The native peoples understood this, but nowadays we're too busy to look up from our smart phones to notice.

After a long winter and chasing locals all over northern Wisconsin, daylight savings time has begun and spring is just getting underway. For the first time in recent memory L516 has reached town before darkness. It's a gloomy cold evening but the SD60s brighten things up a bit. The train only had 10 cars this day, something that would have been unheard of years ago. March 1, 2020.
The bat-hag will trouble Athena no more as T-bone brings the wretched creature's life to an end in explosive fashion.

The 19th century Baltimore & Ohio passenger station in Hamilton, Ohio, has a new home. It was moved away from the tracks to a new location closer to cowntown Hamilton as shown here. Restoration work was underway at the time this image was made.
Used my extra hour today to work on a re edit of photo I took a couple of years ago of the Sir Duncan Rice Library in Aberdeen
Just a fun shoot from a couple months ago. On the west facing slope of Haleakala. You can see a bit of the West Maui's in the distance. This was probably at about 6-7k feet of elevation.

Brunswick, Victoria. I just took this while seated waiting for my daughter who was looking for clothing for a theatre production. I had been through earlier buying up a pile of second hand British crime novels (Ian Rankin, PD James and Ruth Rendell)
The antique clamp is holding together the gluing of a leg of an Victorian foot stool. The leg is made from walnut and has a crack going vertical almost the entire way. It mended great! I used for a background an antique wooden cask that I believe would have been used in a hardware store back in the day for selling nails. It is held together by steel bands and wire.
