bassist for saving monday, this is an example of a not so successful picture that still has something about it that's kinda cool.

I thought this garden was truly inspired, obviously in Australia the saving of water is extremely important.

We had been working in a dark and cold office this week for saving on electricity.

Only things I can do for now are making a donation and saving on electricity...

I want to do anything even if it's just a small thing,

if it's the only thing I can do for others.

I hope as many people as possible will be recovered.

Warm, moving and hilarious, says the cover. And I'd agree. An enjoyable, easy read.

In this exhibit Laura is launching balls at asteroids to smash them and prevent a catastrophic earth collision.

Laura tried. I tried. I think the ESA are unlikely to come looking for either of us anytime soon.

Daylight saving time is a clever way to trick ourselves into thinking we have more time in the day, when in fact we are just messing with our circadian rhythms. It was invented by some countries that wanted to make better use of natural daylight, or maybe just to confuse their enemies. The idea is to set the clocks forward one hour in the spring, and back one hour in the fall. This way, we can enjoy more sunlight in the evening, and less in the morning. Of course, this also means we have to remember which way to change the clocks, and deal with the consequences of losing or gaining an hour of sleep.

Some people use the expression "spring forward, fall back" to help them remember how to adjust their clocks. But this expression is kind of silly, because it implies that we are moving through space and time like a kangaroo. Or why not use something more realistic, like "spring ahead, fall behind" or "spring lose, fall snooze"? Or better yet, why not just get rid of daylight saving time altogether and let nature do its thing? After all, the sun doesn't care what time we think it is. It will rise and set whenever it wants, and we will just have to deal with it.
