When you have a full fridge, no cake saver, and need to safely store a cake from marauding critters, you store that confection in the microwave - right?.....

Rainy. Cold. Windy. So grabbing one of my favorite doll heads, I headed over to the local cemetery and this is the best I could come up with. Maybe tomorrow will bring a little sun and I can resort to conventional behavior.
the blue water bottle fence around our vegetable garden, lit by the sun only -- a pleasure visually and a nice gentle percussion for our ears and those of the wild boar...
Commercial solar farm in upper Willamette Valley, Oregon. Solar arrays on Oregon prime farmland were restricted on 2019: Statewide rules currently prohibit the construction of solar power farms on farmland soil that is determined to be Class 1, Class 2, prime, or unique -- unless a solar company and landowner can establish a dual use for the land, such as beekeeping in additional to the solar farm.May 13, 2019
Saving the best for last.
In Second Life, you’ll often find me in the Elven Forest. Yesterday, for the final hike of this vacation, I ventured into the Fairy Forest.
The hike was described as easy and around 10 km long. I can confirm the 10 km – but “easy”? Unfortunately not. The trail was in the northwest of the island, where the climate is rather humid. As a result, it was very muddy and slippery. The wooden stairs, in particular, were quite a challenge for me.
The hike took about 4 hours and 30 minutes.
As you can see in the pictures, the effort was absolutely worth it. The Fairy Forest has a mystical atmosphere. It was a truly impressive setting.

Saving Hope
...and you were just like the moon, so lonely, so full of imperfections, but just like the moon, you shined in times of darkness.
This is a before and after of the kinds of photos I'm working on at the moment. These photos were shot in semi-darkness with a Sony ILCEO ⍺6500, which being a cropped sensor camera tends to be somewhat noisy. DXO PhotoLab 4 using DeepPRIME cleans up most of the noise and other tweaks in DXO bring up the values to a better level. I then transfer the file to Photoshop where I sharpen the image using Topaz AI Sharpen and otherwise color correct with the tools in Photoshop. It pays to shoot in raw, folks.
Feel free to zoom in on the dark upper half and compare the noise with that of the lower image.
Day 312
This photo is so I can look back and remember (plus I'm tired, been working hard!). This is my view from the bedroom window. It is a lovely view and I will miss it. I've been cleaning and moving small stuff to the new/old place all week. I'm getting excited!! Tonight is my last night here. I'll be moving the furniture and be completely moved on Tuesday!! Then I can relax, give my back a break, and enjoy a different view :-)
After losing GP9R 1751 to a main bearing failure the previous week, MP15AC GATX 326 has thankfully been brought in to solve the G and U's locomotive issues, albiet temporarily. Its quite refreshing to run a decent piece of power for a change. 8/4/2016
too cloudy that day. there was nothing good to shoot until the sun went behind the clouds and... magic, there it was.
This is me when I was little. After a rain and when all the worms were left astray, I would collect them off of the cement and gently place them in the garden.

"It was really nice of you to invite Charcoal to live with us, but where is he going to sleep?
"With you in your bed."
"Umm, OK. I don't want to be rude or anything, but is that smell of his going to go away?"
"Phillip, shhhh he may hear you."
"His left ear is burnt off...I am assuming he can't."
"That's right.....well, probably not. Just make him sleep on your right side...your right nostril doesn't work anyway."
"Duh Marble, but I can still smell!"
"And he can still hear you."
"Oh, sorry Charcoal."
"Z-alright!"
