This 1972 Pontiac Lemans has been owned by the same family scene '78 and was a daily driver up until the late 1980's. The owner brought it to us to be restored as a birthday present for his daughter.

This was a complete frame off restoration, we replaced the floors, trunk floors inner and outer quarters, along with a lot of rust repair to the doors, fenders, hood & trunk lid. The body & chassis was completely dissembled and media blasted down to bare metal. Then covered in epoxy primer for rust prevention and then body work, rust repair and panel fitment. The car was refinished in Transtar No Mix paint, the color matches the original metallic green.

The interior was dissembled & the seats were recovered in a Legendary upholstery kit, new carpet, door panels & all interior panels were installed. The dash & center consul were refinished

The motor was sent out to Morley Performance to be rebuilt . The factory brakes were upgraded from drum to disc brakes.

We had to replace the convertible top structure with one form another similar car. It was media blasted and refinished then sent out to Sebastian Interiors to be recovered.

Flooding on the B4393 south east of Llandrinio Bridge brings out the best in people.

This driver (number plate obscured), who not only negotiated the bit of flood in the photograph, must have driven successfully through the one at the Crew Green end which was three times as deep.

The secret to negotiating a potentially navigable flood is to keep the revs up, in order to maintain a high pressure of exhaust gases to thwart ingress of water up the exhaust pipe and into the engine. Stopping in the middle of a flood and letting the engine idle whilst opening the driver side door to get a better view is daft. You'd never, ever do such a thing in years gone by. Not so these days apparently. As witnessed with another car the same day, although the water level was only one inch high. At the local pub, I heard tales of an Aston Martin (? could have been another expensive car) driver who tried to negotiate the three foot plus floods at the Crew Green end who got stuck and opened the door.

This long stretch of road is referred to locally as the Llandrinio “Straight”, although some people suggest the spelling should be “strait”. Judging by the numbers of time the road floods and the numbers of successful navigations through floods on either side, I can vaguely see where they're coming from.

The Shubert Theatre at 225 W. 44th St., designed by architect Henry Beaumont Herts, was named after Sam S. Shubert, the second oldest of the three brothers of the theater family. It shares a Venetian Renaissance facade with the adjoining Booth Theatre, which was constructed at the same time. The two theatres are connected by a private road/sidewalk, Shubert Alley. It opened on October 2, 1913. The theater's longest tenant was A Chorus Line, which ran for 6,137 performances from 1975 to 1990 and set the record for longest running show in Broadway history. The top floor of the building houses the offices of the Shubert Organization.

Evento "Tigri in campo" - Caravaggio - BG - 10/2023

This is the same as the previous photo in this album, but showing the original cardboard sleeve.

Two of the people in this photo I've positively identified: Hannah (Yoder) Hampton, seated at right, and her brother Daniel Albert Yoder (1847-1929), who has been positively identified by a descendant of Daniel. Based on Hannah's age, the photo paper, and the men's suits, I believe this photo was taken in the early to mid-1920s and that the two other individuals are siblings of Hannah's. They could be Samuel (1849-1926) and Rachel (1836-1925), but I'm not entirely sure. If anyone can positively identify these two people, I'd greatly appreciate it!

The Father Murphy AC 5 Mile Road Race, Fun Run, and Walk was held in Kildalkey, Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland on Easter Sunday 31st March 2013 at 12 noon.

This is the third successive year when the race has been staged in Kildalkey with races previous to 2011 held in the neighbouring parish village of Ballivor. The routing is a modification on the two previous years. This race combined an open 5 mile race and the annual Meath 5 mile road race championship. Traditionally, this race was held on St. Patrick's Day with the venues moving from Athboy, to Ballivor, to the current location of Kildalkey. This was it's first year having an Easter Sunday fixture.

The very cold weather of late did not deter over 200 runners, joggers, and walkers participating in the event. There were some great post-race refreshments available for competitors in the Kildalkey Community Center afterwards. Well done to everyone involved - from the members of Fr. Murphy AC, to the neighbouring clubs in Co. Meath - all of whom helped to continue to fine tradition that this race has built up over the past number of years. Our set of photographs are mostly from the finish area of the race. Fr. Murphy AC was formed in 1970 from the amalgamation of several smaller local clubs and now offers some very fine facilities to the people of this part of Co. Meath.

We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not know of any other photographers who operate such a policy. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, Google Orkut etc or (2) other websites, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us. I ran the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set!

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

If you want to contribute something for these images?

We do not charge for these images. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the image(s) you request are good enough that you would ordinarily pay for their purchase we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible.

O.k. Yet another old rotting building. This is not a barn, I don’t think. I believe it’s a Feed barn and a Trappers Dry House. Or whatever they are called. It has Four rooms and a feed stall. A place to fatten up a Cow before…..Well you know. And a big room for hanging skins to dry. There’s still a deer skin on the outside above the door. I remember when it looked like a deer skin. First time I have ever got a close look at it. In the summer its completely covered in vines and growth .Hard to shoot because of all the growth around it now. but I tried.
