"You know, a heart can be broken, but it keeps on beating, just the same."
~ Fannie Flag, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe
Same place as the preceding shot but about ten minutes later. The ice had just about melted but left the sparkling drops of water so I took a shot as nothing to lose...
Skippers Road has some rather hairy parts including this area where there is a shear drop down to the Shotover river. An impressive view that was asking for a panorama. This is ~>180 degrees so yes that is the same road on both sides.
Photoshop is exceptional at merging photos, these were taken hand held so pretty impressed to get this. I did fill in some of the gaps around the edges.
Thanks to Rich and Shaz for taking us on the mad mission.
Winds of 25k and gust of 40k makes taking some nature photos hard. Mother Nature telling me where to look as she shines the light on these tiny flowers. Happy Day

The same location — autumn 2013 (an HDRI shot from 3 exposures).
To be honest, I like my Hektor variant better, especially since it was created with far less technical effort and is closer to photography in the classical sense.

Same Downtown Dubai viewpoint as the prior shot but this one in the morning. The air was still hazy and very humid.
GPS is the exact spot of the shot.

I had a brilliant afternoon on a big low tide, chasing patterns, and trying to trap the sky in the sand. The reflections weren't great as there was so much small weed and debris about, but the sand waves and ripples were wonderful. later in the day I spotted a Portuguese man of war washed up. Same direction by Hoobastank is perfect, as the sand seemed to be echoing the cliff strata.
Same spot handheld waiting for the clouds to roll over the Argus Range from 15 miles away. The light was rapidly changing.

At the same time I shot almost the same image with the Z6 digital camera as well.

It's the same old blues , the same old blues again"--- JJ Cale
Same day and still early morning - 08h30, about half an hour later than yesterday's post at sunrise. Although sunrise is over by now, it is still early morning light which kept me going for another half hour.
I spent three days around Vestrahorn, allowing me to capture this iconic site under a variety of weather conditions, both in the early mornings and late afternoons. The whole series is at www.flickr.com/photos/132192297@N04/albums/72157677866574087.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul is in the market town of Ormskirk, Lancashire, England. Dating from no later than the 12th century, it is one of only three churches in England to have both a tower and spire, and the only one to have them both at the same end of the church. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Diocese of Liverpool. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.
Same morning as before but a different type of shot , its the same fence but with two horses, Mark ( code.dude ) and I encouraged those two over so that we could take some shots they came to see what we were doing we only had time to take a few !
Same flower as yesterday's post, but so zoomed in, allowing us to to see the complete flower as it blooms in the patio garden.
Delicate and lovely, these plants will endear the heart of anyone who plants it :)
It might be a little withered round the edges,
but it'll mean the same.
