Same Bowl, Different View
A friend asked me for a better view of the bottom - so here it is. I used two diffferent clays and smoothed out one side. Then I cut it up and flipped some pieces over so I had two textures and then joined them together. After it was fired the first time I painted the enitre bottom with Mahogany underglaze and then wiped it off (leaviing some in the cracks and rough spot. (The inside is totally smooth and glazed to be food safe.)
