Saw a hawk (rough-legged, I think) hovering in the same spot for, like, 5 minutes near Beaverhead Rock. So I pulled over and got out the camera, pumped up the ISO, and started shooting. Then he moved over to near the lake and I just happened to be lucky in that there were crepuscular rays behind and the framing and focus worked out ok. Suggestions?

This pair of Bald Eagles makes its nest in a large tree near the Coast Guard station on False Creek west of the Burrard Bridge. Here they are perching on a favourite spot at the top of the tall yardarm of a fishing boat in the harbour between Burrard and Granville Bridges. I was really impressed by the wingspan of the departing eagle. The last photo was taken 4 days later at the same spot.
