Like the product jumping stilts is used to gain explosive power in jumping or running, I believe the same will be true for the bicycle.
Fig 1 The sprocket with the pedals are not shown, they would be stock. In red is the mounting point of the elongating spring or bungee cord. In green is the spring/cord. In purple is the crank attached to the rear wheel so the crank and wheel can spin at a faster speed than the hub temporarily. In this pic the spring is adding power to what you are applying to the pedals.
The bike will travel faster because there will be temporary burst of power from the spring, momentum from these burst will make the bike travel further in the same amount of time (faster).
Fig 2 This shows the spring being compressed although this will slightly slow the bike, momentum is traveling forward and the losses will be less then the gains of speed. What you lose in torque compressing the spring you gain it right back when the spring recoils including the speed of the spring recoiling, there would be a burst in torque in Fig 1 of the spring AND the foot pedals fully. Equal torque lost then gained (in Fig 1) netting no loss torque (Fig 1 and 2 combined), but speed is gained because the spring recoils faster than the foot pedals. Also inertia from the weight of the rider will help compress the spring.
Fig 3 is a top view of the rear tire crank and spring setup.
*Typical sizes could a 6" radius of the purple crank attached to the wheel or more. Spring weight could be calculated. If I were to guess - Math 1/2 riders power goes to the wheel 1/2 goes to the spring. Divide that by the gear ratio 4/1 or 4. Multiply that by 2 (6" crank) because the wheel would be 2x the size (1' radius) of the crank.
If it works for jumping stilts it should work here.
I have posted this scene taken with Trip35 before. Here is the Nikon FM2n version.

This is the same shot as the other, I was trying to crop and hit Save as new instead of Replace. Sorry, just disregard.

... but the same results. Like the Red-shouldered Hawk photographed at Green Cay, this one photographed at Wakodahatchee Wetlands two days later soon dispatched its snake with a bite behind the head and proceeded to devour it. Picture taken with Pentax K100D Super and Sigma 50-500 EX.

This is the same pic as "Tropical Leaves", but done with selective color. I like the way the black and white around the edges blends and subtly draws the eye into the colored areas.
This pic was taken at Sugar Mill Gardens, in Port Orange, Florida.

Woke up this morning to a nasty day! The worst of the snow is falling just east of us but the winds are gusting to 35 mph., creating bad driving conditions. Visibility is down on the open roads and there is ice. Suzy and I will stay inside today keeping snug and warm. We had wanted to go on a photoshoot but I think not.
Not all lava is the same. Very thick, gooey rhyolitic lava doesn’t flow very far. The runny basaltic sort that characterizes some of the lava flows of Mojave National Preserve, however, spreads out as smoothly as hot maple syrup. It flowed from the sides of the cones or pooled near their bases. As the lava streamed out across the land, it slowly began to cool. Often, the top of a flow would cool while liquid lava continued moving underneath, creating a tunnel. When the eruption ended, the flowing lava in the tunnel either cooled in place or emptied out the tunnel’s end, leaving a hollow lava tube.
A lava tube is accessible via a 5-mile drive from Kelbaker Road. Climbing through a collapsed hole in the tube’s roof, visitors have a rare opportunity to view this river of rock from the lava’s perspective.
"My Life Living Room Play Set" size comparison to 1/6 dolls!
When I was in Walmart I saw two colour variations for this set. One had pink pillows & a pink lamp, and the other had blue. In the Pink Colour Variation of this set, the ottoman, tray, lamp and phone stand are also coloured different, but the couch colour is the same in both.
Depending on the leg length for some 1/6 dolls, the couches are a little deep, but leaning them against one of the pillows works well for that.
Overall I really love this set, and I think it's scaled nicely to 1/6 dolls. Any dolls or figures ranging from 11 to 14 inches would look really good with this set! I also love that the colours are neutral, and would work with virtually any doll or colour scheme.
I think the ottoman is the only item in this set that's over-scaled next to 1/6 dolls, but it still makes for a good prop :D
I forgot to photograph my Shibajuku dolls with this, but they're nearly as tall as Taeyang, so it would work with them, too.
I'll post some comparison pics with the "saucer chair" next. There's also a "My Life" dining set I'm eyeballing. I just might get it, too! XD
