I've been sitting on this gal for over a year only half cleaned. I finally sat down this morning and finished her.
This is my best (and only 3rd) repaint so far on a Monster High. I only used pastels and watercolor pencils. Green is an odd color to work on, enough said on that.
My most recent repaint, I finished her the other day. I'm going to give her real eyelashes as well, I'm awaiting them in the mail, should turn up next week. If anyone has any tips on how to go about it (I've a few ideas) please let me know! It's something I have experimented with in the past and want to use more in future customs to add more depth. She'll also get a reroot or a nicer wig, not sure yet. I just cut the peg off the CAM ghost wig. I wish it was nicer than it is. Still the short hair suits her, looks cute. I'll update as she progresses.
Full repaint by me, using predominantly acrylic paints, some watercolour pencil and pastels. Brush with pearl micro pigments to give her a sparkly complexion :)
OH cripes... now I have to sculpt her some horns.. but i'm now not sure where to attach them to her. *sigh*
Still learning, this is my 3rd repaint. I really hated the face that came with Barbie Basics model #5. Those eyes eh.
So I took my remover to her eyes just a little... then whoops. I took the whole eye. So I gave up and wiped the whole face and started from scratch.
Here is a repaint I did recently. I really love how she turned out. Her eyes are done with metallic paint, so they really catch the light.
She is the first doll I am putting up for sale. In fact, the first thing she is the first thing I have put up for sale.
Please check her out at my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/MadeleineMaiStudio?ref=seller_info
She's only $50!
I love the way the pictures of her turned out. My stepmother, Carol, took these pictures with her expensive camera and compared to my camera you can really see the difference in picture quality. This is basically what she looks like in real life.
I'm thinking of taking commissions, anyone interested?
OMSI 2 Reading Buses "Greenline" Repaints for Wright Gemini 3 & Wright Eclipse 3 by Masterswitch Studio's
My second (Frankie) and third (Draculaura) repaints. I tried to make Draculaura look more like her character in the show while I was trying to repaint Frankie to have larger, more expressive eyes.
They were repainted using watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. Frankie also features body blushing.
If anyone is interested in adopting either of these two just let me know. ^^ I'm not looking to get much for them, I'm just trying to free myself of so many duplicate dolls. :) (Draculaura would come nude though.)
repaint completo acconciatura e kimono
Sono mooolto soddisfatta di questa nuova creazione....anche perche' ho faticato molto a cucire il kimono .solo grazie ad Alice che mi ha fornito il cartamodello Grazie Alice!!.
spero che vi piaccia!!
Walls are Benjamin Moore 'Classic Gray' (Regal Select) in an eggshell finish, to match the dining room, but I had it darkened 25% to help the white trim pop a teensy bit. Trim is Benjamin Moore Advance in 'White', straight out of the can as the machine supposedly color matched it to Sherwin Williams 'Extra White' which is used on the trim in the other rooms. BM Advance really needs to dry overnight and be sanded in between each of three coats. But it's worth it for the lovely hardened finish. Ceilings are Zinsser Stainblock Ceiling Paint in flat bright white (straight out of the can).
