Minor repaint of the Battle Ops Bumblebee Takara Masterpiece version. It was called "Masterpiece" but i think it was lacking a lot of details and colors to give its name a justice. So I meticulously repaint up to the smallest detail to make it as movie accurate as possible. I didn't have an airbrush, so I hand painted it patiently and lots of breathing control (whew!). Hope you like it :)

Finalmente criei coragem para modificar minha boneca da Merida. Eu não a achava nada parecida com a personagem, mas morria de medo de estragar a boneca, então hoje eu decidi que tinha chegado a hora. xD
Removi os cílios e o baton pink (que me incomodavam muito), desenhei sardas mais suaves e mexi de leve nas sobrancelhas e nos olhos, que continuaram com o formato da pintura original. Ainda não estou satisfeita com o cabelo e com a falta de articulações dela, talvez eu troque o corpo dela por um de uma fashionista um dia...
Amei o resultado e acho que ficou bem mais parecida com a Merida.

Finally I modified my Merida.
I removed the eyelashes and pink lipstick (which bothered me a lot), I drew new freckles and shifted slightly on the eyebrows and eyes, which continued with the format of the original painting. I'm still not satisfied with the hair and the lack of joints it, maybe I change her body for a Barbie fashionist someday ...
I loved the result and I think it looks much more like the Merida.
I was talking to captainselah on Instagram and they gave me the idea to paint a head in the Monsieur Z style paint. I had been wanting to paint again and this was the perfect project. The closest head I had to me was the MTM Millie sculpt… Which wasn’t ideal for this style. I think it came out alright for a quick practice head. I think I spent 45 minutes on it once I started painting.
I named her Economy Class since she is based on Monsieur Z, First Class haha.
Military surplus Rhino tire carrier. It had a bit of surface rust so we sanded it and resprayed the carrier.
Hi all! Wanted to share a snap of this girl who's been a looong time in the works. She was a nude red, white, and blue Ellowyne I purchased years ago. It took multiple attempts until I was finally happy with her.
She's a full repaint (painted by myself), using acrylic paint, pastels and pearl ex pigment for shimmer. Sealed with MSC and liquitex. She has a set of painted and real eyelashes that I glued glitter too. I was leaning towards a fairy kei look in regards to her colours and theme. Her eyes are the best I think I've ever done, sorry for the slight washout with the flash. I'll take nicer pics in the future.
She's been finished for a while but initially I hated the result when done, and she's been in a storage tub for a few months till' I took her out again. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by a project, this was one of them, she was a lot of work. But now I really, really love her. I just get frustrated at myself sometimes :P
Clothes to complete her are the next step, she's just in a makeshift wrap atm. I'm really proud of her, I hope you all like her too :) Expect more pics of her in the future. Next payday I'll be splurging on outfits for sure.
Fooling around photoshop to decide how she would be more like me, I finally made this.
My decision is not a repaint from scratch, instead, I will only clean a bit of her lipstick, change eyecolour, and brows colour too. No need to change the shape of her eyes (much), only giving a little extra black eyeliner on the outer corner.
Cant wait for her to arrive!
... this past week I've become fascinated with some new software programs that permit a Cezanne like quality to take over any image. It takes a bit of manipulation, but sometimes works without any help. Here's a random sampling of what I've been playing wtih with some noninvasive (I hope) music. I think I'll be doing a few minutes of images from India next. I've watching the PBS series "The Story of India," the most beautiful story I've ever heard.
