Getting the top of her head off was stupidly hard. I'll never do another one of these! :D She turned out beautiful, though.
Color: Valspar Woodlawn Silver Brook
Where: Kitchen
Earlier this month, I took the liberty to paint the walls. They were originally this really dingy yellow custard. So this weekend my husband and I decided to add some color to the room. Tada! It's a grey-blueish color. Part of the DIY kitchen project is we want to restain the cabinets, repaint the trim white, redo the counter tops and backsplash. Of course, this will be done overtime.
I was talking to captainselah on Instagram and they gave me the idea to paint a head in the Monsieur Z style paint. I had been wanting to paint again and this was the perfect project. The closest head I had to me was the MTM Millie sculpt… Which wasn’t ideal for this style. I think it came out alright for a quick practice head. I think I spent 45 minutes on it once I started painting.
I named her Economy Class since she is based on Monsieur Z, First Class haha.
Repaint spectra. This is a horrible picture the colours are way off, the purple actually matches her hair almost perfectly -_-

Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

My first Rochelle repaint, and she came out looking like Cheshire Cat's cousin lol. Did she put a whoopie cushion under someone's chair cushion, or did she just stab someone repeatedly? She did something bad, for sure.
She's for sale over at etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/101811094/rochelle-goyle-monster-hig...

My first Icy Doll repaint! Before (top) & after (bottom) Subtle makeup. Nose and lips carved. New eyelashes and now she has eyebrows! I plan on doing something on her lids but not sure what. Also has added string for sleep eyes!
10 of 40. A series of largely random pictures taken whilst travelling as a passenger aboard the CMA CGM PUCCINI a 65,000 ton container vessel. The voyage was from London to Perth during February and March 2017. The ship takes up to 6 passengers (initially only my wife and myself) and the route was around Northern Europe, Gibraltar, the Med, Suez Canal, East Africa, Reunion and Fremantle (Perth Australia).
I realized with my last repaint that I didnt show a picture of the back of his head. And on my Blonde Allan, the back of his head was really cute. So I wanted to get a picture this time.
I nearly finished a repaint I was working on since longer, my Marilyn OOAK doll. I didn´t want her to look like a sexbomb, but to have a vulnerable and sweet expression, like she was captured on many photos made by Milton Green.
Still don´t know which outfit to make for her. any suggestions?
Oi minha gente! Feliz 2014!

Hi guys! Happy 2014!
Finally I modified my Merida.
I removed the eyelashes and pink lipstick (which bothered me a lot), I drew new freckles and shifted slightly on the eyebrows and eyes, which continued with the format of the original painting. I'm still not satisfied with the hair and the lack of joints it, maybe I change her body for a Barbie fashionist someday ...
I loved the result and I think it looks much more like the Merida.
