Tonner, tyler Crimson on the park

My second (Frankie) and third (Draculaura) repaints. I tried to make Draculaura look more like her character in the show while I was trying to repaint Frankie to have larger, more expressive eyes.

They were repainted using watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. Frankie also features body blushing.

If anyone is interested in adopting either of these two just let me know. ^^ I'm not looking to get much for them, I'm just trying to free myself of so many duplicate dolls. :) (Draculaura would come nude though.)

Tuning my room. Done over a period of a couple of years. What can I say; I live out of home now and this is my gaming hideaway for if/when I've got time.

See? Colour difference.

... this past week I've become fascinated with some new software programs that permit a Cezanne like quality to take over any image. It takes a bit of manipulation, but sometimes works without any help. Here's a random sampling of what I've been playing wtih with some noninvasive (I hope) music. I think I'll be doing a few minutes of images from India next. I've watching the PBS series "The Story of India," the most beautiful story I've ever heard. Here's the link to the Impressionism photo show ...

monster high operetta ooak repaint

My first ever MH repaint. Was looking to get into painting so decided to pick up a cheap doll at Target lol. I still don't have all the materials nor gloss varnish but I was too impatient and painted her today. I didn't know what to expect but she turned out quite beautiful :)

I spent the whole Saturday repainting and here's the result.

Barbie Basics : Red Collection NO. 03 --- Repaint by Eifel

I like how Tessa (formerly a Skull Shore Ghoulia) came out :D I still have to re-root her but hey, I'm very happy with the painting job :P The tattoos I could have done better, I know!

The metal vanguard sergeant on the left is one of the first models I ever painted. I gave him a fresh new look and replaced his arms with new ones from the plastic vanguard box. The old metal arms have been kitbashed on the new plastic librarian.

I felt like repainting today and to my surprise found a forgotten Tyler stored in her box in my fabrics cabinet. She has been repainted with acrylics and pastels and sealed with an UV spray.

Slightly clearer shot of Spectra's new face, my first Monster High repaint.

Taken with my phone's camera, I am planning on taking some better pictures of her soon, but she needs a new outfit first xD

Cleo! Probably my least favorite sculpt, she's kinda boring. But even so, I gotta repaint 'em all! hah!

The Twilght Series

Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

Beautiful repaint by Jenise Mah of the Doll Salon.

Lydia, a custom zombie, with her face painted. Part of her face was cut off and sculpted too.

All these are of the same step, I just couldn't decide which ones were the most relevant. No, I don't think a single one is sharp, sorry.)

Repaint practice on a My Scene head (less ugly and more fun to work with than the Bratz head I used before). Still awful but making progress. Practicing blushing with acrylic paint on an almost dry brush (can't use pastels due to no spray sealer). I keep overdoing it...

Transfers applied. Small details painted. Started 8/12/08. Finished 13/12/08.

Bare Essentials Natalia with a full repaint, applied lashes and mouth resculpted open.
