Manx Electric Railway "Winter Saloon" No.19 at Derby Castle
Car No.19 was built by G.F.Milnes and delivered to the M.E.R in 1899, along with the three other ‘Winter Saloons’. Originally delivered with Milnes Series 3 trucks (powered by E.C.C Motors), No.19 and her classmates saw such an amount of use that in 1904 it was seen to refit them with the more powerful Brill 27Cx trucks that had recently arrived under Car Nos. 28-31. Under this scheme, No.19 received the trucks and air braking equipment from under Car No.29.
No.19 received new seats in 1932, with cushions replacing the original wooden upholstery. These were further replaced in 1967. Other than this, No.19 has seen few changes since it’s re-motoring in 1904. It is also notable in the fact it was the only Winter Saloon not to carry the Nationalised Green livery in the late 1950s, the Car retaining traditional liveries throughout it’s life – even in 1979 it was repainted into 1904 livery as part of the Centenary of Electric Traction!
The Car received an overhaul from Summer 1995, returning to traffic in July 1997 in ‘as delivered’ ‘Douglas Laxey and Ramsey’ livery but was later repainted into an interpretation of the 1940s/50s Austerity livery which it carried until withdrawl for a repaint in Autumn 2011, returning to traffic in June 2012 in the standard M.E.R Red/White/Teak livery. No.19 continues to be one of the unsung heroes of the M.E.R fleet, rarely being out of traffic and operating the majority of timetabled services from it’s construction.

I think my doll painting days are coming to an end. I wanted to put the teeth decal back on her cheeks and couldn't becuase my hands shake too much :( Gettin' old.
In addition to the faceup mods, I modded the little plastic shell that was under her clothes so she can wear swimsuits and the like.
This one's based on Uncanny X-Men 136, although the pose has been used in a lot of other places, including a cover for Crisis on Infinite Earths.

I tried my hand at repainting this Lagoona. I was going for a pretty stylized look. I also boiled her hair and set it up in a messy bun. It was a fun project, and a good learning experience.

My Devon got a new look today since her old face up got all messy in my move to China. I went all futuristic and weird with this one and had lots of fun. Not sure how versatile she will be though as no wig suits her better than being bald! :D
She wears a Syb shirt, Numina shoulder strap and Inamorata belt.
Oh wow, even I became interested in Monster High dolls! Those tiny hands ;o;
After enough of hesitating I decided to look for Lagoona or Clawdeen, but I couldn't find them from toy stores so I bought my "first MH crush", Draculaura, who was more popular on toy stores here.
I can't wait to finish repainting her! I'm not experienced with rerooting doll's hair so it will be tricky for me... Maybe I'll just leave her default hair be (I was surprised her hair was so soft, it's been a long time I played with non-BJD dolls!) : >

Cat girl was originally a Skull Shores Frankie (the B&W version) ..
I changed her eyes, hairdo, added the ears (from the CAM set) and her nose, some slight addition to her lips.
this is my very first attempt at a repaint... next time I may be braver and wipe the face entirely and do something totally new. In this case she's EXACTLY what I wanted.
My first Rochelle repaint, and she came out looking like Cheshire Cat's cousin lol. Did she put a whoopie cushion under someone's chair cushion, or did she just stab someone repeatedly? She did something bad, for sure.

I felt like repainting today and to my surprise found a forgotten Tyler stored in her box in my fabrics cabinet. She has been repainted with acrylics and pastels and sealed with an UV spray.

My third Elsa repaint, this time it´s a commissioned work. Classic Disney Store Elsa doll repainted with a particular expression, but as the Snow Queen. The expression she chose is quite similar to my first repaint...
She has a full facial repaint with acrylic paint after removing the factory paint. Her hair is restyled.
