Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

Elsecar Heritage Railway, Elsecar, near Barnsley, UK. The locomotive was made in Sheffield at Meadowhall.
Like I said, I found a Cassy lot at one thrift store but I also found a single Cassy doll at a completely different store a couple of days before. that. Kind of a funny coincidence. I tend to think of it as a single find, since I don't think I've ever seen one before. Since I have about six now and this one was a double, I decided to repaint one. Probably a bad idea since I'm still struggling with getting Bratz right, and they're huge in comparison, but what's done is done. Or rather, a work in progress.
This is my first Operetta repaint. She has purple/red eyes (a mix of her skin tone and hair color.) I cut her hair shorter because it was in clumps and tangles.
She's for sale here: www.etsy.com/listing/97132731/operetta-repaint
Here is a repaint I did recently. I really love how she turned out. Her eyes are done with metallic paint, so they really catch the light.
She is the first doll I am putting up for sale. In fact, the first thing she is the first thing I have put up for sale.
Please check her out at my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/MadeleineMaiStudio?ref=seller_info
She's only $50!
I love the way the pictures of her turned out. My stepmother, Carol, took these pictures with her expensive camera and compared to my camera you can really see the difference in picture quality. This is basically what she looks like in real life.
I'm thinking of taking commissions, anyone interested?
I've repainted all of the bits I was unhappy with. This pic shows everything too darkly, but gets the idea across

"Cragmount" was a repaint of Multiskull done by Charles Marsh, the original designer of this figure in the OMFG line:
www.monsterforge.blogspot.com/
He occasionally makes repaints and sells them blind-bagged. Cragmount likely had the least extra styling, as it is black with an ashy gray wash, whereas others came in EVERY COLOR OF THE RAINBOW, but you know? This is indeed quite awesome, and I love the effect of him sitting on a pile of skulls.
Yup, these are still the same repaints from last time, just took new pics of them... I'll be working on more repaints soon :)
So yeah, I noticed the clawed hand of the CAM Gargoyle suited the Puma boy’s clawed hand better, and the Puma boy’s straight hand suited the Gargoyle’s non clawed hand better so I decided to swap them. When I colour matched the Puma’s skin tone i mixed a bit too much so I decided to try painting his torso and upper limbs to match his parts since they were spray painted a blue that was close but not purple enough to properly match. Unfortunately I was only able to get a single layer of paint on his torso and arms, and resulted in a blue undertone, but it’s much closer than it was before.
I also repainted him because, hey, why not.
My two latest Bratz repaints.
I found Cloe in the attic in two pieces (body and head in two different boxes) so put her back together and gave her a makeover.. uh.. make.. under?
The boy was a 2010 Dylan, a duplicate doll of one I already own.
I'm pretty happy with them both. The boyz are hard to paint and the regular paint hates to come off, it's annoying.
