Matchbox - Horse-Box & Mercedes-Benz Truck with Trailer Repaints
- I remember playing with the left side versions while growing up in the 60's
- I think of repaints as a new toy manufacturer cost leverage, but I guess it's been around longer
Finished repainting the Robecca I've had hanging out here for a while. It was a really fun, quick project. I just love her sparkly skin! It really pops with a bit of gloss, even under pastels.
repainted lagoona reshaped eyes more shadding and coloring added in very hippie like swim attied from swim class set
I got bored and repainted my Inque again. I know, I'm impossible getting bored with my dolls so easily, but repainting is better than always buying a new one. LOL Let's see how long this version will last. ;p
I sold my first Ayumi repaint, so I made an attempt to recreate it.
Of course it would have been boring to do the exact same one, so I took this resculpt a bit further and used a different make up and hair, but in the end she was loosely inspired by Zhou Xun again. I named her Wei Meilian.
Sorry for the crappy pictures. I try to make a proper photo session with her as soon as possible. Even her hair is still wet from the styling in the pics, but I was too exited to wait. ;)
My bedroom is in the middle of being redecorated- its been about 8 years since it was done so throughly. I started planning at the beginning of the year- and I knew I wanted everything white.
I'm wondering if that comes from studying photography so much and understanding more about light and bouncing it about.
I'll get to move in soon- when my new bed comes. Its one of those on legs with no drawers underneath- I've always wanted one of those.
Arthur has worked really hard putting up the wallpaper, skirting board, repainting and taking up the old laminate. I think it looks the bomb.
Its been a strange week. Lots of downs followed by a few ups.
Thank you to my lovely friends for being a constant source of encouragement.
A live music venue on Houston Street that closed after a flood. Curious as to what the new mural signifies.
I fully repainted a dead tired Cleo de Nile doll .i also glued on hair (much easier but messier than rerooting) and fitted a live top into a dress.
I've been sitting on this gal for over a year only half cleaned. I finally sat down this morning and finished her.
This is my best (and only 3rd) repaint so far on a Monster High. I only used pastels and watercolor pencils. Green is an odd color to work on, enough said on that.
I will not accept having exact duplicates of shoes anymore! From now on I'm repainting any duplicate shoes or accessories.
Walls are Benjamin Moore 'Classic Gray' (Regal Select) in an eggshell finish. Ceilings are Zinsser Stainblock Ceiling Paint in flat bright white (straight out of the can). Ceiling fixture is West Elm's large mobile chandelier. The print is PopChartLab's 'Birds of North America'.
My first Maleficent repaint is somewhat finished now. Those horns are so magnificent... I keep turning her head around and imagining her as a bull. ;-D
I'm going to repaint my other Malificent and then take dramatic battle pictures outside in the woods.

Monster High Dead Tired Cleo de Nile repaint. Finally got around to it, painted her yesterday. I thought it would be a good idea to paint some henna-patterns on her hands... Her teeny, tiny hands. That was quite hard and ended up a bit too messy for my tastes, but for now, it'll have to do and I'm not sure I want to redo it, ever xD
I also made the saree, though I'm either going to buy or make her a better one in the future.
Close-up of her hands, without flash.
