I'm thinking about having this beauty repainted. Any thoughts. I'd love a full repaint but then I was thinking of just adding lashes and removing the cheek lines. Anyone know an artist taking commissions like this??
Totally polished fianna original (left) and repainted (right)
btw sorry for all the ratchet uploads recently! I was going to do a photoshoot today with one of my 3 fiannas but I burnt my hand with my flat iron on the hottest setting so I have to take picture and type with 1 hand so sorry for the bad grammar and shitty pics x)
So one of the local Barbie club members asked me if I could fix a yellowed Silkstone doll and at first I was like nahhhh, but then they said I could paint over the head and they’d give me 5 Poppy Parker bodies if I did so of course I agreed. They said I could do whatever but to keep in mind it’s gonna be a gift item at the next Barbie convention.
So with that in mind I decided on a more neutral makeup look that would make this doll fit in with any Silkstone collection but it’s still in my tastes haha. The face up is entirely in acrylic paint and heavily inspired by 1950s makeup tutorials where the colour palette emphasised about dressing to the occasion. And since she’s in her sleepwear I figured not to use dramatic makeup.
It was several years (probably about 10) before it was eventually repainted into our colours. The registration number was changed earlier.
If anyone fancies the number for their car it's available at £1500 !
(also YAU 400 for a grand).
I bought one more rare appeal to repaint the face and donate the body to my beloved heatseeker Nat. So i first swapped the bodies , and then i gave Domi a partial repaint (lips, irises, cheeks, toned down eyebrows and a beauty mark) .i wanted to go for nude lips but i discovered that they need to be somewhat defined, otherwise she looks totally botoxed, lol!
So i went for a quasi nude -natural brownish, and light grey-blue for the irises.
Problem is that now i like her and i want to give her her body back. But i also looooove Nat on it. So... i thing i need a third body... Heeelp, this will never stop!!!
Ever since I sold my Leica M6 in 2016 I've missed a Leica rangefinder camera. Unfortunately the prices on M6 have gone ballistic and I couldn't afford one. A few months ago I bought a Canon 7. It's similar to a Leica but much cheaper.
However that didn't cut it. It's a great camera, but it doesn't feel like a Leica.
A few weeks ago in January 2026 this M2 popped up on my local Craigslist. I was immediately smitten. I'm a sucker for black cameras, particularly black Leicas.
This is of course not an original "Black Paint". It was born chrome and recently repainted. Sadly it won't get the lovely brassing as it's painted on top of the chrome finish.
The lens is a Canon 35/2 LTM that I bought for the Canon 7 and fitted with an adapter. That lens is great and absolutely worthy of sitting on a Leica. It's also known as "The Japanese Summicron".
Monster High Dead Tired Cleo de Nile repaint. Finally got around to it, painted her yesterday. I thought it would be a good idea to paint some henna-patterns on her hands... Her teeny, tiny hands. That was quite hard and ended up a bit too messy for my tastes, but for now, it'll have to do and I'm not sure I want to redo it, ever xD
I also made the saree, though I'm either going to buy or make her a better one in the future.
Overview, taken with flash.
I regret not doing more with her when it comes to colors. :< She's just done up with boring browns, but she's cute though. I gave her just one fang because I like it when my cats make a funny face with just one fang out. :D

A silk chiffon skirt, silk blouse with a large rosette decorated with a golden skull, lace corset, hose, leather strappy platform shoes and driver’s gloves, tulle wrap hat with a golden airplane.
Model: Sybarite Inque repaint
I guess it counts as an enhancement since I only removed the lipstick that was above her lips and added some color here and there.
